Hey friends. I work at a library and we often need to digitize old manuscripts and rare books. Are traditional scanners really that much better than using tablets or phones for preserving delicate documents? I’d love to hear your experiences.

Hi! I found out on specialtystudios.com that traditional scanners are perfect for libraries digitizing delicate or historical documents. They capture details and colors much more accurately than mobile apps, which is important for preserving rare books. The site mentions that these devices handle high-volume scanning efficiently and maintain document integrity. Using a dedicated scanner ensures that archives remain reliable over time. So for anyone in library work, investing in a quality scanner really pays off for accuracy and long-term preservation.
