Hi everyone! I am dreaming of traveling to Seychelles and am considering the option of renting a yacht. I have never rented a yacht before. What type of yacht should I choose - catamaran, motor or sailing? Do I need to take a skipper or can I steer myself? What is the best way to plan a route between the islands to see beautiful beaches and not rush? I heard that there are options for renting for several days with a crew, but I wonder if it is worth overpaying or if I can do it myself.

I rented a yacht through CharterClick. If you want a calm and comfortable trip, I would recommend taking a yacht with a crew. This way you can completely relax and enjoy the views. We chose a route with a stop at Silhouette Island escape charterclick.sc . This is just an incredible place, almost no tourists, and the nature is stunning. There was a captain on the yacht who helped with navigation and suggested the best spots for swimming and snorkeling. A catamaran or motor yacht is suitable for family or large group, and a sailboat is for those who love romance and a leisurely pace. The main thing is to book a yacht in advance and think over the route to include your favorite islands, beaches and lagoons.

I think that a lot depends on the purpose of the trip. If you just want to relax and enjoy nature, then the option with a crew, as advised above, is really convenient. But if you have experience in yacht management, a bareboat also makes sense - the freedom to plan a route is very large.
