The sea with mourning calls to distant sky
Waves' fingertips reach out with longing sigh
Forever stretching without being one
United only by a common sun
One world yet separate elements and spheres
The howling wind and falling water's tears
Sky's calming wind sweeps over sea to soothe
A gentle breeze above rough waves to smooth

A dream of mutual destiny to share
Instead heartrending sorrow we must bear
I cry for you across the distant shore
As from the stars deep cleansing rain does pour
