Hi! I’ve noticed that my child tends to bottle up emotions during the day, and bedtime feels like the only quiet time we get together. I heard that asking thoughtful bedtime questions can help kids express themselves more easily. How can I use these chats to build trust without making it feel like an interview?

Hey! I found some awesome advice here: https://www.the-littlest-thistle.com/be ... ions-kids/ and learned it’s all about tone and timing. Instead of asking serious questions right away, I start with something light like “What made you giggle today?” or “If you had a secret garden, what would you grow in it?” That simple shift opened up deeper talks later. It’s not about getting answers - it’s about showing you’re listening. Over time, bedtime turned from a chore into a real bonding ritual that both of us look forward to.
