(You don't have to leave Syn, because we are just beginning actually, and you can join in as one of the neighbors once Rachel brings Edward home?..)
Edward took another step towards her. His eyebrows frowned curiously and he examined how she looked when she cried. He had never cried before and he never really got to see anyone cry, at least, not in a long time. "Are you sad?"

Rachel laughed a little and looked back to him, with tears all over her cheeks. "I'm very sad, Edward." She looked into his eyes, and tried to smile. But, she just couldn't.

His eyes searched hers with sorrow as the water dripped down Rachel's face. He then frowned and said in his light voice, "Are you sad because.." He stopped and hung his head low, "because you're going to leave me again?"

Rachel sighed and shook her head. "No... because, I made the mistake of doing that a long time ago. I want to stay with you. For Christmas." She wiped her tears away and lifted Edward's face. "Merry Christmas, Edward." She whispered.

Edward poked out his neck as she lifted his head up. His dark innocent eyes caught the moons light as so did his face. In the more revealing light, more scars could be seen on his face. "You're taking me home?"

Edward nodded his eyes and leaned forward towards the rotten door. He easily slid one of his scissors infront of his body and picked at the lock. And what seemed to be only a second afterwards, the door released it's lock and it creeked loudly when opened.

Rachel smiled and followed Edward out of the room. She found Mara again and tapped her shoulder. "Come on, we're leaving." She whispered and ran down the stairs.

Edward shuffled past Mara, again, almost just barely missing her skin with his scissorhands. He kept following Rachel as fast as his stiff legs could move.

Rachel wrapped her arms around his arm and slowed down a little. Once they were outside, Rachel started walking towards her house. She still had her arms wrapped around his arm.

Kim jumped up when she saw Edward through the window. She ran to the door and opened it. "Edward?" she gasped. She couldn't believe it.

Rachel's eyes widened and she ran ahead to her mom. "Mom, don't tell him that you are you. I told him that I was Kim. I mean, you." She whispered. She gave her mother pleading eyes.

She mouthed "I'm sorry", to her mom and walked back to Edward. "Mom... I take it you have already heard of Edward. From my stories." She smiled a little and walked Edward closer.

"Edward, that's my mother." She smiled to him and walked inside, to the kitchen. She was scared that Edward might notice her mom from looking at her. If that were to happen, things wouldn't be too good around here.
