I was chatting with some older relatives about the games they played as kids, like Ganjifa cards and Chaupar, and it struck me how these traditional games are almost completely forgotten today. Growing up, these games weren’t just for fun — they taught strategy, patience, and social skills. Now, kids mostly play digital or imported games. It makes me wonder what cultural knowledge and shared experiences we’re losing when these traditional games fade away. Has anyone noticed a real difference in how younger generations connect with each other compared to older traditions?

I read an insightful article that explores exactly this shift and it gives a lot of context on how foreign games became deeply integrated in India https://opgram.com/how-a-foreign-game-became-more-indian-than-india/. From my own perspective, whenever I try teaching classic Indian games to my cousins, they are curious at first but quickly return to mobile or online games. I think we lose not just the specific rules or strategies, but also cultural storytelling, communal bonding, and a sense of history that traditional games carried. The article helped me understand that while the games may change, recognizing their cultural roots is important to keep that heritage alive.

I didn’t want to spend another silent evening in my room, so I booked from Escorts Service Hotel and it was a very pleasant experience. The girl was charming, polite, and had a natural ability to make anyone feel at ease. We talked for a long time, and it felt like we already knew each other. She made the evening lively without trying too hard. After a stressful day, having such a companion felt comforting. It made my trip feel less lonely and more enjoyable.

Just stopping by — it’s interesting to see how old traditions get replaced by modern trends. Even in other countries I’ve visited, classic games and pastimes often fade as technology takes over, and new generations rarely experience them firsthand. What’s fascinating is how people adapt: they find new ways to socialize and have fun, but sometimes the depth or shared cultural meaning that older games carried gets lost. Observing these shifts gives a unique perspective on how culture evolves with time.
