Darrell followed Tahlavain out of the city, riding the horse Sen had lent him. Glancing over his shoulder he saw some of the maiean following. Sitting up slightly he drew an arrow from his quiver and unshoulders his bow. "great" he muttered to himself "I need some target practice"

Tahlavain grinned slightly. "Yes indeed, you do need practice..." she pulled out her own bow and turned in the saddle. "But I shall be reasonable and only shoot when you miss," she spoke in a slightly teasing tone while nocking an arrow.

Darrell smirked slightly. "what do you mean when I miss. I have not missed yet, nor shall I, they are within range, and I don't miss" and he add added in an undertone "often". He drew his bow back to its capacity and let fly at the Maiean who was ahead of his compatriots. He watched his arrows course, smiling grimly when it took the maiean through the chest, knocking it from its horse.

Tahlavain chuckled. "Then we'll take turns..." She spoke as she drew the bow back and released the arrow. It hit its mark, right between the eyes of another Maiean. "Your turn..." she smiled.

"good shot" Darrell said as he sighted down the arrow he had placed on his bowstring. He leased his arrow and watched it hit a maiean in the throat. "you've a choice of three now friend" he said smiling.

Tahlavain smiled, "alright then, mellon nin..." She took her bow, and placed two arrows upon the string. Holding it at a horizontal position, she drew back and took aim. When she released, two Maiean fell, as the arrows penetrated their chests. "Sorry... I seem to have only left you one..." she grinned.

"don't worry, there won't be one for long" Darrell took another arrow from the quiver around his waist, and knocked it to the string. "this one's going between the eyes" he said, pulling the bow to its capacity. He sighted down the shaft and released it at the last maiean. The maiean tried to evade the arrow, but was not fast enough and the arrow pierced one eye " Damn" he muttered, "slightly to the left". He slowed up his horse to a trot and looked to Tahlavain. " well, what now?"

Tahlavain smirked in a triumphant manner, but then grew serious. "We find the camp and stalk the outskirts. Since Deawen has blessedly removed their hold from my head," at this she nodded once with a slight smile to Deawen. "I can draw them out, if need be, using their own communication... but I believe the best way would be to draw them out by way of various noises and such... carefully though." She remained silent and thought a moment before again speaking. "We need a way of escape if too many come at once or if they set their own trap... anyone have any ideas?"

"Rather than messing around making noises you could just hit them and vanish almost immediately. But mixing both ideas up gives some variation, and makes us harder to predict and intercept"

Tahlavain nodded her head. "That sounds like a very reasonable idea..." She rode in the general direction of the scattered camps. "Choose the smallest first... scatter it... pick them off one by one.."

"scattering them will be no easy task, for they are formidable foes, and well disciplined. They will not break easily. But going for the smallest first is definately wise." He checked his quiver, to see how many arrows he had left. "hmm, and i'm going to need to stop at some point to fletch some more arrows, or I shall run out" He reached into his pack and pulled out three arrows and placed them in his quiver. " but I have enough to last me a while yet"

Deawen let her companoins do the planing she thought from the top of her head so plans were not needed.

(You and your arrow fletching )
Tahlavain nodded, "if you need more arrows, don't hesitate to ask, I'd be more than glad to provide a few at least."
It wasn't long before they came towards the outskirts of the camps. Tahlavain paused to listen and made a motion with her hand towards the right, then put a finger to her lips to indicate they should now be silent.
