When I was living away at college, my roommates said they couldn't stand my celtic music, and of course, they only told me this about half way through the term :annoyed: I guess some people think it's weird, because a lot of it is in Gaelic, which is kind of an unusual language, and it is a unique genre.

I like Gregorian chant too. It's very mystical and uplifting...Anyone hear of Anonymous 4? They do a lot of different chants and medieval songs. A cappella singing is amazing! I also like listening to boy choirs, such beautiful music!

Oh, that's difficult! I don't know what I'd do if my friends didn't like Celtic music...
I got a CD for Christmas - I think it's a Christian group... but some of it sounds so much like my brother's CD of Scottish-celtic music, except that the lyrics are in English! It's really weird... but weird in a good way. Though sometimes I think I prefer lyrics not in English...

None of my friends like celtic music or gregorian chant...or any of the music I like (just two of my friends also love Gothic ;-) ) They prefer the stuff on the radio. Sorry, I have never heard of Anonymous 4...I usually listen to a group called "Gregorian". They're amazing. Or "Die Singphoniker". They also sing A capella. Beautful Greg. Chant. My dad gave me a CD with ancient traditional Celtic Music. It's called "Celtic Morning". Anyone ever heard of it?

Aye, fortunately my closest friends love celtic music as much as I do! I guess my roommates were scared away by the Gaelic...

The christian group? "Eden's Bridge" - the CD was Isle of Tides. My brother's CD is "The Future Sound of Gaeldom" - it had a whole lot of different artists on it...

Scottish-celtic I think takes a bit of getting used to. But I really like it, too...

Oh yes, I love Eden's Bridge! Isle of Tides is a beautiful album. I think they're from Yorkshire. Here's the website if anyone's interesting in learning more about them:
