Klaus yanked his head up and coughed. He gasped for air. Violet said nothing, just watched.
"Let's go up to our room," Klaus said, speeding up the stairs and out of Olaf's way.

"Run!" yelled Violet, clutching Sunny. They ran up the stairs and closed the door behind them,"Phew!" Violet, gasped,"Sorry I didn't help earlier!"

Klaus let out a cry as he turned around and found the door knob turning. Olaf's curses could be heard through the door. "Hurry! We have to make a barricade so Olaf can't get in!"

"Kikai!" Sunny replied, which meant "Chairs!", and jumped down from Violet's arms. She crawled over to the chairs and started helping out.

After a few minutes of struggling, Violet, Klaus, and Sunny managed to build a makeshift barricade. More cursing came from the other side of the door.
"There," Klaus said. "It should last the night. Maybe then we can think of a way to get out of here." He walked over to the bed and sat down. Not that it was comfortable; it felt like laying on a bed of rocks. "I can't take this anymore! We can't let Olaf push us around."

Olaf kicked the door, and ran down stairs to get a box of matches.
