"I'll be right back," said Danielle. She got up and went down to the library to check out a book she had been wanting to read. She reached up to grab the book, then heard a familiar voice.
"Happy birthday."
She turned and saw her cousin Natasha, the auburn-haired, brown-eyed, 14-year-old girl she had grown up with. "Aw, thanks!" she whispered, hugging Natasha.
"See ya later," whispered Natasha, her smile highlighted by the freckles on her nose and cheeks.
"Bye," whispered Danielle, waving.
