It's sad that he died like that, but when I started to read HBP, I knew he was going to die.She gave hints about it, always mention the age thing and that he wasn't that powerfull like before, that he looked tired.I've accepted his death just like Sirius'
BTW, I love your avvie Elf Girl.Where did you get it?

Heheh, I just took a look at the Dumbledore Is Not Dead site, and I must admit that they have some convincing arguments. Ah well, I've never been good at deciphering the mind of Ms. Rowling, so I won't even try anymore

^but think of how much fun you'll miss then
To me the most convinsing thing on that site was that Snape's spell didn't have the same effect that Avada Kedavra usually has. J. K Rowling is very consistant usually (she needs to be with all these funs scrutinising her every word) and it seems strange that she'd change the effect of a spell for such an important event.
This is also combiened with the fact that there was a big emphais on silent spells in this book (taught to them by Snape himself!) usually when she talks about a spell a lot it is later used for an important plot point - the Unforgivable curse, the summoning charm, poly juice potion etc - but as far as I can remember silent spells weren't so Snape could have really been casting a different spell.
I don't actually think this all means that Dumbledore isn't dead - I'm pretty sure he is - I just think that it means there's more too it than what Harry thinks.

Yes, but it was happy and cheery before. She didn't have to kill people off like flies.
It wasn't a war then, the books are getting darker. And she's not killing them off like flies - one per book. There will be several deaths in the 7th book

Ditto.
I´ve always thought he would die in book 7 ... But if Lupin dies, beware of me! He can´t just simply die off! (like Sirius did ... oh my Sirius *huggles him along her avie*) I think that he will die anyways, and Pettigrew too - so the Marauders will be together again, even tho in death.
Vivi, I think I´ve found it on some forum ...
Beri, that made me sad ... But I think you´re right. At least 3 persons will leave this world (how poetic =P); Harry, Voldie & someone else ... And yeah, I think that Harry will die in the end. Poor Gin.

Dumbledore is dead, and I'm pretty sure that that's the end of it... although he still will be a portrait

Why is everybody moaning about Dumbledore when I'm still in Azkaban?
