I agree that he probably had someone already in Mirkwood. I mean, come on, if a guy like that was still single..... geez. No, he had to have someone, but Tolkien just didn't get into all of that in the books.

I laughed heartily when I found out Legloas had no love interest in the movies...  .

Ha! My friend and I have a joke that Legolas didn't have a girl because he liked Gimli too much. I mean, he sailed to the pretty place beyond the sea with him....

Me and my english exchange were really shure too, that legolas is at least a little bit gay.......

I'm curious, has anyone even CONSIDERED the idea that Legolas was
just, well...single? Every male character doesn't have to have love
interest.

Yes. Legolas seems to be one that is better of single. He just doesn't seem that interested in the ladies. (Please don't corrupt that!)

Maybe legolas was never meant to have a girl in any of the movies and maybe tolkien made it to be that way. I hope he got a girl when he sailed over west because then it would've made him happy and yeh , he could have little legolas's running around the place

Well... I dont know. I think Tolkien never wrote about it. But Legolas should have a girlfriend. He deserved to be loved. And in the appendixes we find out that Eomer, Merry and Pippin got married.

Weel, I remember reading that Legolas went into the west with Gimli, and it dodn't mention anything about a girl, so I doubt that niether of them got one.

Legolas decided to stay in the words of um..... soemthing (trys to remember) It wasn't one of the elven woods anyway...... but he didn't go to the undying lands....

He stayed for a while in Ithilien, but after Aragorns death he built his own ship and sailed to Undying Lands. So he did go there.
