The flight attendants announced the start of boarding Oceanic flight 815. "...All passengers who need assistance boarding, please come to gate number..." "Well, I guess that's me. See you when we get there, right?" said Claire, heaving herself to her feet.

Claire gave her ticket to the flight attendant who gave her a smile, and asked her all the non-personal questions about pregnancy: How many months, the due date, the gender. Claire obliged with the answers and found her seat as quickly as possibly. She sat down with a sigh, and watched more people trickle in. A stressed looking man in a suit, another with a guitar, a man with a haliburton suitcase with a woman in front of him. An elder black woman sat down a few rows behind her. A p***ed looking tough lady walked past, an Arabic man escorted by two flight marshals, and many more people. She decided to sit back and sleep for a while (until the mid-flight snacks came along.)

Crystal flicked a page of her book, she'd read this book millions of times but she carried on reading because she was bored. She closed her book titled Lord of the Rings and looked around, she was looking at a women with dark hair, she looked quite tough.. but pretty. Crystal quickly smiled remembering it was rude to stare.

Claire woke up as the engines turned on. it had barely been 20 minutes. Sighing, she stretched as best she could and took out one of her books (Vanity Fair). As the plane took off, she felt the baby move in her stomach. She gripped her armrests and closed her eyes thinking, "Please, dear God, let it be over!"
