Jax walked in a little closer, looking into the rats eyes with a dreadful look, dong his best to scare the thing.

"I..he.." the rat stuttered.

Then looking at the group of men, ( all looking at him with unfriendly eyes. Minara with eyes even more so than the rest. And Jax looking on with anticipation he broke)

"He told me to tell you that there is no use comming after him... He.. he has gone far away where you will never find him...Pleas... don't kill me." the rat spoke.

Minara snorts. "Kill you?... I have no intention of killing you.... Besides there are things worth than death..... Would you like t'get t'know them?....' Her violent violet eyes regard him disdainfully. "You'll become their closest friend if you don't tell me where he's gone and direct me to him...." She reaches behind her and slides one of her twin blades out of its sheath on her back. Part of the handle fits neatly through a coin-sized hole in her right paw. "Now, where shall I begin?....." A malicious grin spreads across her features....

The rat's eyes seemd to gloss over as Minara spoke.

"I don't know where he went he wouldn't tell me. He just told me that I owuld find all I needed to compencate me at my house, I was wanting to quit anyway. Akthough he did tell me that he was stopping (insert name of nearest port) first. But that's all I know. You have to believe me I didn't realy wnat to know where he was going." the rat jibbered on a mile a minute, his words barely understandible some of the time.

Minara sighs, wondering how in heck a crew as stupid as this can pilot two ships without her command. "ANYWAYS....." Her voice cuts into the rat's speech, stopping him midsentence. "We'll make for Sampetra.... That's where he's heading... I'm almost positive of it...." Her violet eyes glitter cruelly.....

Minara sheathes her sword, reaches down and grabs the rat, then turns and marches off towards the ship, hauling the rat behind. "Move yer rears, NOW!!!!" The crew hops to attention grumblingly.

Minara boards the ship, still dragging the rat, having yanked him onto the smaller boat and hauled him from there to her large ship, where he is conveniently tied to the mast. Her orders can be heard from one end of the ship to the other, and the ship turns, setting course for Sampetra, haven of all runaways and deserters.....
