[haha, my apologies for keeping everyone waiting.... ]
In a frenzy of pain, Illeran woke to the groaning of the ship's planks against the unchanging roar of the sea. Someone - no, something - was stepping on his head. Stampeding would have been the better word. He put a finger up to gingerly feel his skull. Nothing broken, but the simple gesture sent a blinding agony through his mind.
He heard chuckles.
Illeran looked up to see Barbossa, glaring maliciously at him through the bars of his cell.
"How are you, Illeran? I'm glad you find the brig... comfortable."
Illeran's answer was a half-hearted snarl.
"And now if you will excuse me," Barbossa grinned. "I have guests much more important than you."

At the moment, Barbossa could have thrown off his hat and jumped as if he were ten years younger. The crew members flanking him cast him slightly worried glances when they thought he wasn't looking. The self-nominated captain of the Black Pearl hurriedly checked himself before letting his fancies take flight, however. Nothing more than an insincere smile had graced his face for years, and he wasn't about to break that record.
He glared daggers at his underlings and they had the prudence to quickly avert their glances. Swaggering arrogantly and absently stroking Jack the monkey, he came to a halt outside the cage. His complacency increased by a tenfold at the sight of his ancient adversary hacking up blood.
"Well Jack. 'Tis a fine time to meet again, aye?" _________________

A familiar voice was heard in Jack's ears. It was a little too familiar. He blinked opened his eyes and stared up into the face of horror (as Jack would like to call it.) He would've said something, but as he tried to he gagged up some more blood. This time it came out in a heavier flow.

Devina bore her teeth, and scowled heavily. She glanced at Jack half annoyed again, then pulled a horrible face at Barbossa "Please leave." she said through gritted teeth, knowing that it wouldnt help much.

Looking over at Jack in concern, Blackbird stood up and leaned forward against the cell bars. "What do you want, Barbossa?" she asked contemptously, uttering the name like a curse.
