"Well then I suggest we start now, and at least manage to lead this thing away from here," Eleshna spoke as she went and prepared the nervous mare.

Her face was again grim as she set about the task of seeing to her satchel, being sure it lacked nothing of vital importance.

Jaden followed unwillingly... he really didn't want to bother with the thing... he wnated to go somewhere and live out the rest of his life in peace! "Not likely." he thought to himself.

Jaden Secured the packs on Syndar and then jumped on his back. Azher, who had been sleaping through the whole thing woke and stretched after a good sleap.

"We better hurry, it's only a few hours till dark." Jaden commented. "My advice would be ride through the night this time. Who knows if that thing is going to be following close to us."

Eleshna nodded, her face grim as she urged her mare onward.

She felt wearied from everything, but cared not. All she wanted to do was get rid of the thing and try and live a peaceful life.

It took all her will power to keep from giving into the want to cry, something she hadn't done for so long, and now came back to her as she felt freedom again slipping from her grasp.

As night time came over the land, they continued riding, until Eleshna had to stop, overcome with sudden weariness, not having slept for quite some time.

Jaden noticed Eleshna's wiereness and insisted that they stop.

"I'm sorry. I didn't want to have to drag you into this." Jaden apologized as he helped her off her horse.

Eleshna shook her head. "No.. it isn't your fault... it's something I must go through before I can be at peace, it seems..."

After being helped off her horse, she leaned against a tree and sank down to a sitting position with a wearied sigh. "I just hope it all ends soon..."

"It is my fualt." Jaden retorted. "I am the one who brought Veron here... I am the one who woke the Mathiliat, and it's because of me that Veron woke the Tralner."

Eleshna brought her gaze to look at him. "Stop blaming yourself... How could you have known? I too made many mistakes in my life, one being foolish and following Veron in the first place"

She walked over and put her hand on his arm, looking in his eyes. "One cannot go on blaming themselves their whole life... it only causes misery to themselves and to those around them... it is best to just focus on the goal ahead, and try to straighten things out..."

Jaden knew she was right... but it seemed there was no other logical explination.

"I see misery everywhere I turn. In my own soul, in your eyes. It's something that I can not escape." Jaden said softly.

Jaden nodded in respons, not saying a word.

He walked over to where Syndar stood tied up and he released him to go eat.

"I hope you find the joy and peace you long for. But that I will be there allso I can not promis you." Jaden said before walking off into the night to find a place to sleep.

Eleshna sat again, leaning back against the tree. She watched Jaden walk off, a troubled expression on her face.

Laying on her side, Eleshna had her hand on her sword hilt, the sword beside her, and drifted into a fitful sleep.

Azher then walked off into the night to stand at his post. Jaden got little sleap that night, most of the night he spent watching.

The morning dawned rather dreary, and Eleshna awoke, having had some rest at least, and prepared her mare.

"How long would you say it would take to arrive there?..." she asked more so for conversation than for the answer, as she mounted her mare and began at a slow pace.

After Eleshna woke Azher left his spot knowing that there was no need to stand watch any longer.

"At least another six days." Jaden replied.

Eleshna nodded. "Another long week...." she let out a sigh then rode in silence, always looking ahead.

They day went relatively uneventful, though in the evening, the horse became nervous, as a slight wind picked up.

Eleshna glanced around, her hand resting on her sword hilt.

Jaden had got little rest the whole journey. He knew that once they had reached the Sion Chronicles that they would be safe enough there that they both could catch up on some much needed sleap.

His hand as well rested on his sword nearly the whole time.

"we should stop for tonight, we will be able to rech it int he morning." Jaden commented as the sun disapeared below the horizen.
