That night was like all the rest for Jaden. He spent it mostly watching... little sleap.


Althouh Azher being there was a great comfort. jaden knew tha if anything approched it would have to deal with him. And since Azher needed very little sleap he oculd stay up most of the night.

Eleshna barely slept either, though at times she couldn't help but drift off, though dreams continued to force her awake again.

She was thankful for the morning when it came around, and climbed upon her mare once more, again silent, within her own thoughts.

"Something wrong?" Jaden asked as they rode, noticing that she had been silent for a long time.

Eleshna shook her head. "No... nothing that could be helped... just..." She let out a sigh, looking up towards the sky for a moment.

"I can't stop thinking that peace was not meant to be for me... " she bowed her head slightly. "Even if peace around me comes, there are still the hauntings of my past, because things that I have done are not lightly forgotten and forgiven"

"I used to think that. But you showed me otherwise... Now your saying the same thing I thought. I can't speak for others, but your past is forgiven and forgoten in my eyes. Never give up on you dreams, it's what keeps you alive. If you have nothing to live for... why live at all?"

Eleshna nodded slightly. "You're right... and thank you... but not everyone will forgive and forget... I know one day I'll find a peace of some sort, but it will never truly stay, and that is what I am fearful of. I don't want to get too comfortable with peace, yet again I do, just to forget everything, but..."

She let out a sigh and shook her head. "I'm confusing myself..." She again went silent, her gaze ahead.

"You can't change what others will do.. I don't think a life lived in an atempt to mold yourself to other's opinions is right. All that matters is that we do our best, an what's right. And you will always have peace between you and me." Jaden said his ending words.

She looked ahead again, with a little more of a smile on her face. The sun had already risen well past the noon mark.

Jaden knew that the very things he had just said to her were hings he disregarded in his everyday life... even though he knew them to be true.

He knew it wasn't easy... but he hated to see people he was close to be hurt and sad. Friends were a precious thing to him and the few he had had in his life were all gone now save Eleshna and Tren.

Eleshna smiled to herself. She rarely chose to have a close friend, many others were concidered companions, but barely could she call one a true friend, for she had always feared to do so.

Eleshna glanced ahead, "are we approaching it soon?" She was looking forward to a good rest for just one night, and night was fast coming upon them.

"Just over that next hill." Jaden answered.

Rising above the next hill there was nothing in sight but grass lands that stretched out until hitting the walls of trees that mad the forests beyond.

Jaden walked Syndar up slowly and hopped off.
Rumeging through the dirt he seemed to be looking for something.

Eleshna glanced around, confused at first, then focused on what Jaden was doing.

Her mare pranced nervously, and a breeze passed by. Eleshna placed a hand on her sword hilt, glancing behind them.

Jaden found a small object, closly resembling a rock and picked it up. Taking it a few steps away he threw it ont he ground again.

The ground began to shake as a doorway opened up in the earth, a slanted tunnel leading down in the depths.

"This way." jaden motioned. Syndar and Azher went first walking down the tunnel.

Eleshna followed and glanced behind one more time. She suddenly let out a slight cry as a large, yet shadowed figure was seen (*tries deperately to think of what it should look like* << )

It looked much like a dragon, but had black skin, which seemed to have a boiled appearance, its wings vast and its tail filled with large spine like thorns. Though large in size, it seemed to walk with stealth. Suddenly it flung its tail and a few of the 'thorns' came towards them.

Eleshna was barely able to duck the well aimed object, and quickly dismounted her mare and followed Jaden into the tunnel.

Jaden hurried to get Eleshna behind him in the tunnel. He reached out his hand and picked up the rock after dodging the creatures tail and jumped back into the tunnel.


As they ran the tunnel slowly closed up behind them. They ran on into the darkness until they came to a large room. As they stepped on the floor the whole place lit up with a white light.

The room was as vast as the plains above, the thing filled with information, books, scrols, and tablets of all kinds.
