Ok..this one is set several years before the War of the Ring, in Mirkwood of course. The threat from Dol Goldur rises daily, and orc and goblin raids occur almost every day. A small band of warriors is to be sent by the King to guard the borders and interior of the forest, and there will be great danger to all involved, maybe even some deaths. Anyone can join, as long as you post a character bio, or a link to one.

Walking slowly along the perimeter of the wall surrounding the Palace of Mirkwood, Mierwyn sighed in pure boredom. Nothing had happened in weeks, and she was beginning to wonder if there was ever even a threat to the Kingdom at all. Sure, several elves had been found dead several miles away, but it looked to be in a fight between them, so there was no proof of orcs or goblins being involved. Hearing footsteps on the wall above, she looked up to see her elder brother looking down at her. "There you are, Mierwyn..ada has been looking for you. He has something he wants you to do." Callon stated, and Mierwyn sighed and nodded. "Fine...will you lower the ladder so I don't have to go the long way, please?" she asked, and a few seconds later, the rope ladder was lowered right next to her. "Hannon le.." she muttered, before scaling the wall, and raising the ladder up behind her. "Come on." Callon said before walking off, and Mierwyn followed him.

Aranelwen urged her horse onward, it had been a long ride and the horse was tired. "Noro lim." she whispered to him and with one last burst of energy they approached the walls of the Palace.
"Daro! Man le!" a guard called out Halt! Who are you!
"Im estannen Aranelwen, Theliel o Bereth vuin." she replied I am named Aranelwen, Sister-daughter of our Beloved queen.
"Edro!" the gaurd shouted and the gates opened. She rode in and jumping off her horse handed the reins to a young elf saying "Sen hebo." Take him
She walked into the halls of the Palace and was announced in the throne room.

Before ever reaching the throne room, Mierwyn and Callon were stopped by their brother, and were told simply why Mierwyn had been called, and also that they would be leaving first thing in the morning. "Well, this is sudden.." Mierwyn muttered to herself as she walked off towards her quarters, to prepare for in the morning.
(Skipping the boring stuffs..and if someone else wants to play Thranduil, go ahead..I'm not good at it..)

((I'll powerplay him for a moment))
"Ah, niece." Thranduil said as he stepped forward.
Aranelwen bowed and said "My lord Uncle."
"You are probably wondering why I summoned you with such haste from your mother's side."
"I confess Uncle, your summons were surprising, but by no means unwelcome."
"Good, well they may be unwelcome now for I wish you to accompany your cousin Meirwyn and Captain Melannen to guard the borders. I know you have felt unused lately and so I thought this would be an opportunity for you."
"Thank you, My lord Uncle, it will be a pleasure to serve you in any way."
"Good. Now, go and prepare, no doubt your cousin will be eager to leave... as she always is."
"I take my leave Uncle, Nan lû i agovaded vîn." she replied as she turned to leave Until next we meet
"Ir i lû telitha." he replied Until then
Aranelwen was already in her riding outfit so all she had to do was gather a few things from her room.

('As she always is'..*snorts softly in laughter* You have no idea how correct that statement is..)
After changing into a loose-fitting tunic and pants, along with sturdy boots and a lightweight cloak, Mierwyn grabbed her quiver from under her bed and strapped it onto her back, then put her bow into the quiver, and also strapped on her sword and daggers, then looked at herself in the mirror and sighed quietly. "You'd think I was just an average elf in this attire.." she murmured softly, then pulled her long hair back, and left her room quickly, and was brought to a halt just outside her room by her brothers. "What are you two doing here?" she asked curiously, and Legolas was the first to speak. "We're coming along, too. Ada just gave us permission a few minutes ago, and besides, we need to look out for our little sister." Mierwyn rolled her eyes slightly and hit Legolas playfully on the arm. "Don't start that again, muindor. I'm only about five minutes younger than you. Now, Callon, here, that's a different story." Callon took on a false angry look. "You calling me old again?" he asked with a raised eyebrow, and she laughed. "Of course not..it goes without saying!" Callon started to reply to that, when Legolas stepped in between the two of them. "Ok, enough..you can fight once we're away from the palace. And by the way, Mierwyn, cousin Aranelwen is coming along with us, too." Legolas commented. "Ah, this shall be very interesting...come.." Mierwyn said quietly, before walking down the hall, and Legolas and Callon followed.

Aranelwen ran about her room in a flurry, Where is my CLOAK!?!? then all of a sudden she stopped and said out loud "Legolas."
She had brushed the dust off of her emerald green riding outfit and grabbed her bow, quiver and the short elven sword her mother had given her. When she had gone to get her cloak she couldn't find it! Now she ran into the hall and shouted "LEGOLAS!"

Legolas jerked to a stop, hearing the shout, and Mierwyn and Callon turned and looked at him. "You're in trouble now.." they both said simultaneously, before running off, leaving him standing there in the hallway.

Aranelwen stomped down the hall when she spotted him. "Have you been in my room again?!?!"

Legolas laughed nervously. "Err...no? Not this time, at least.."

Captain Tirram stood outside the gate of the halls of Thranduil at the head of a small group of soldiers of the guard. The threat had been growing in the south of the forest and he had been told to go and protect the realm of his king.

"Well, my favorite cloak, the one that YOU like to 'borrow' is missing... AGAIN!" She stood there glaring at him with her hands on her hips.

"It wasn't me this time, I swear!" Legolas stated, a bit angrily.

"Well, if it wasn't you." she said for she knew her cousin wouldn't keep lying like that "Then would you help me find it?" she relaxed and looked very helpless.

"Of course I will." Legolas replied with a slight nod. "And I have a feeling it won't be that hard to find, either."
