((Okay, after discussing the matter with LDM via Instant Messenger, we decided that I'm gonna put an ad in the "Help Wanted" section for the role of Barbossa. Long story short, LDM, can't be on much right now, and Barbossa's kinda a main character that needs more frequent posting, so...yeah. I'm gonna cover the role until we get someone to fill in, but hopefully it won't be for very long...sorry for all the confusion  ))
Barbossa regarded the women coolly. "My business is with Jack, not you ladies," he sneered. "That is, if 'e even has enough strength to talk." Sitting down on a barrel, he pulled his mouth into what resembled a smirk. "You don't know the half of what's involved in the curse of Isla de Muerta, do ye, Jack?"

Illeran saw Barbossa's form silhouetted against the dim light. He bared his teeth in challenge. Mercenary as he was, he would no longer serve Barbossa. He rose up behind Barbossa, his dagger glinting red. He caught Jack and the others staring and offered them a grin.

Devina turned her head away disgusted at them all. She regarded Illeran thoughtfully, and glanced over at Jack, lugging him a way further from Barbossar and his killer bad breath. Her lip curled in distaste.

Jack felt his body being dragged by Devina further away from where Barbossa sat. He blinked his eyes open again and he caught the evil glance coming from good old Barbossa. He managed to sit up. "And what is that...Barbossa?" He then hacked up some more blood, which went flying across the room and landed on Barbossa's face.

Devina tried to hide a smile, as she saw the blood on Barbossars face. She patted Jack on the back a bit, and glanced down at him. Something close to a gentle emotion crossed her face, but she wiped it off, and resumed her typicall scowl

Barbossa reached up and calmly wiped the blood off his face with his sleeve. "I thought not," he said simply, leaning back against the wall. "Ye never were one to research things too extensively...Let's start with what ye do know: I assume yer aware that for the curse to be lifted, all the gold must be returned, aye? Well, the same logic applies here. Just as every piece must be present for it to be lifted, every piece must be present for it to stay lifted...So, in the occasion that one previously cursed should remove a piece again, the curse affects not only them, but all that were once under it." He pointed a filthy finger in Jack's direction. "Which includes you, Jack Sparrow."

As the cruel words of Barbossa ended, the reality of the situation caught Jack in a daze. His dark eyes widened twice their size. He felt his stomach drop for a second or two. And his mouth dropped an inch open. Apparently he was speechless..
