Eleshna's eyes widened. "They better be well orginized or we'll be stuck here for days on end...."

Suddenly her mare gave a snort and its legs promtly collapsed beneath it, one of the thorn spines having imbedded itself in the horse's side. (I'm so cruel... poor horse...)

Eleshna pulled the spine out and immediately dropped it, letting out a yelp as an acid type substance burned her hand.

Jaden pulled some cloth out of his pack and wipped off Eleshna's hand.

"I have some herbs you will probably want to put o that." he said turning around and grabing the stuff.

"No, it should be fine, it didn't have much chance to sink too deeply," Eleshna mumbled as she pulled her hand away then glanced behind them.

"I certainly hope this is well contained.... having that thing enclosed with us wouldn't be too much fun..."

Jaden put his things back as Eleshna wished.

"It woun't get in... I can assure you of that." Jaden told her.

Looking around it seemed like an insermountable task to find what they were looking for.

"I guess we better get started," Jaden commented

Eleshna walked around and occasionaly lifted and examined the tablets and papers, her brows furrowed.

"They're not all in your langauge are they?" she questioned as she quickly glanced over one and put it down again.

She winced every time she used her hand, until she decided to just not bother, and use her right hand only.

"No. Onlythe ones in this section. Every matirial is coppied into several different languages. That's one of the reasons it's so vast." he answered.

Looking over at her he added. "And you realy should put something on that hand."

Eleshna nodded, going towards a different section and picking out a langauge she knew.

"No, it'll be fine, it just stings a little," she insisted. Even though she would deny it, her hand felt like it was on fire, the pain taking first her hand then her forearm.

Eleshna mumbled something under her breath then shrugged. "Fine, fine... I just don't want you to waste anything..."

She flinched as she looked down at her hand, seeing nothing but the burn, but it felt like a fire within working its way slowly up her arm.

"You don't have any idea what it might do over time... And I owuld never call medicen used for a friend a waist... not even if you weren't my friend.
Besides we can always get more." he replied as he got the things from his pack.

"I can take care of it," Eleshna insisted as she took the herbs from him and took her skin of water.

She knelt and sat on her heels while she poured water over her hand, letting out a barely audible gasp as it sent a way of pain the whole way to her shoulder.

With a bit of effort, trying not to wince at the pain, she rubbed the herbs in then put the rest away.

She returned to the scrolls and papers, beginning to again sort through them, but seemed unable to remember half the langauge she was reading, though it was one of her more familiar ones.

Jaden continued looking through the papers hopping to find anything that might help them.

Sudenly he stumbled across something.

"This might be something." he said pulling the small book out.

Eleshna put down the paper she was holding and went over to Jaden. "In what language is it?" If it was any language she knew, she didn't recognize it.

For some strange reason she was beginning to be unable to understand much of what she picked up to read.

"I'm not sure... I only know I can read it... I forget what it's called." Jaden shook his head.

"Acording to this the Tralner was created to destroy the Mathiliat... but for some reason it was never sent out." Jaden paused. "I think thy were unsure whther thy could control it or not."
