As the dance songs died down Kali, Austin and Mia went over to sit down. Mia was sipping her drink and facing the other way when Austin looked at Kali, saying, "Hey, I was wondering if maybe, you wanted to go out some time?"

Kali put down her drink, awkwardly, and looked at Austin.
"Austin, I like you.." Kali began.
"But, I think we should just stay friends." Kali said.

Austin looked at her confused and then his face made a look that said 'Oh I get it.'
"This is about Julian," Austin had a hard time saying that name, "Isn't it?"
Behind them, still not looking their way, Mia cursed under her breath.

Kali immediately looked in Mia's direction, not believing that she even mentioned Julian.
"Mia, can I talk to you for a second?" Kali said putting on a fake smile before she turned to Austin.
"We'll talk about this when I get back." Kali said, getting up from her seat and practically grabbing Mia and dragging her out of her chair. Kali opened the bathroom door and shoved Mia inside.
"Would you please explain this?" Kali asked.

Mia put her hand up to her shoulder and put the part of her shirt that Kali had grabbed, and was sticking up, down.
"Well, he was just asking about you and..." Mia started. She saw Kali wasn't going to let up. "Okay. I told him his name, it's not a big deal. He doesn't even know where I work. He thinks I work at a travel agency, it's no threat and...He just wanted to know why I told him he shouldn't ask you out."

"He's been asking a lot of questions about that 'travel agency' though, hasn't he?" Kali paused.
"Besides, what does Sark have anything to do with Austin asking me out?" Kali asked.

"I think you might be able to figure that out by yourself," Mia said. Then she thought about what Kali had said. "How did you know he was asking questions about the travel agency?"

"The first time I met Austin, he started asking all these questions, until you told him to just let it go. I notice these things." Kali paused.
"No. I don't think I can 'figure it out by myself'. So, please, bring to me the reason why Sark has anything to do with this." Kali said.

"You and I both know you had a relationship with Sark," Mia stated. "You cannot deny that fact. I am telling Austin to not get into you because I don't want him finding any more information about my work. Do you understand why I did that? If you don't I can make it so much clearer."

"Yes, a relationship that has no involvement in this discussion whatsoever. I understand why you don't want him finding anything about your work, but that isn't my fault. It's your fault that you don't have a good enough cover." Kali said.

Mia clenched her fist and then released it slowly. She licked her lips and said calmly, "This discussion is over. If you have any other questions, that's too bad." She turned and walked out the bathroom door and went over by Austin.
"I'm sorry, Austin, but I have to go. It's getting late," she said. He nodded and she hugged him and walked out of the club, going to her car. Unlocking the doors and starting up the car, she hoped Austin wouldn't stay long. She trusted Kali little as of that time.

Kali left the club, got in her car and started the engine before she pulled out of the club and drove back to her house.

Austin watched both girls practically run out of the club and sighed to himself. I don't think I should have said that, he thought.

When Mia got home she pressed her message recorder. Austin called asking what was wrong and that he was sorry if he'd gotten her in trouble.
"Yes, Austin. Yes you did," she mumbled.
She decided it was best to just sleep it off and maybe things would be better in the morning.

Kali unlocked her door when she got to her house and took a shower. She changed into different clothes before going to sleep.

Carly and Rick went to bed after cleaning the house a bit, and watching tv. She fell asleep ten minutes after laying down.

The next morning, Carly woke to her alarm ringing. She sat up, and looked at Rick who stood up. She stood up as well, and grabbed some clothes before going into the bathroom. Twenty minutes later, she came out, wrapping her damp hair into a ponytail. She pulled her boots on and walked out of the room. She took the plate of food her husband offered, and ate it, before grabbing her purse and heading out the door. She got into the car, and drove off toward APO.

She reached the subway, and ten minutes afterwards, she walked into APO.

Kali woke up the next morning and pulled the covers off of her before stepping out of bed. She changed into work clothes and walked out of her house. Kali went to her car and pressed the key in the lock of the door, before turning it and opening the door. She was about to step inside, but her attention was drawn to a cab that had pulled up on the street next to her house. Kali shut her door after she looked around for moment more and she walked to the cab. The door was opened from the inside for her, and she took a seat in the cab while shutting the door behind her.
"What's the problem?" She asked, turning to Sark. He pulled out a mini disc case from his coat and held it out to Kali, as the cab began to leave the street.
"Your new assignment.." He said. Kali took the disc and put it in her jacket pocket.
"I'll take care of it." She said, as the cab pulled up to the train station a few minutes later. She got out of the cab and took the train to APO, before going into APO.
