In sort of confusing, unique way Remus' good mood suddenly returned. He turned his head in front of himself and grinned, more for himself then for anyone else. Now he knew that he hit the spot, even if that meant that Dani was acting totally cold and distant. He remembered well how she used to be. There was something familiar even in that scowl.
"Law enforcement." he repeated her words, well, he muttered loud enough "I never thought you'd end up there. Still, I suppose that you fit there great now. Maybe I was aiming for the wrong point." he continued "Natasha? Of yes, I remember her well." he added smiling as he remembered one birthday party which was a long time ago.

Dani's turned from cold to completely icy. It seemed, in his cheer, that Remus was almost mocking her..at least that's what it felt like for her. She closed the door of her car a bit hard and responded with an "Mmm-hmm," when he spoke, not really listening too much. She started the ignition. Truth be told, her emotions were getting too strong to ignore...misery had built up over the last two weeks, more so that week than the previous, and to bury them was getting harder, like trying to cover a pot of boiling water that was bubbling over. She felt, as she stared forward, her face scowling, but yet her eyes moistening as she listened to him. Why did <i>he</i> of all of the people who she <i>thought</i> were her friends, not care that she was upset?! It took enormous self-control for her to not slam on the brakes, pull over, and get out of the car.

Remus' eyes turned back to Dani. It was time to stop, that became obvious. He moved down so they were on the same level.
"Well, to tell you the truth," he started "I'd slap myself by now. Now, would you please be so kind to tell me what is wrong? Don't hide from me. Best friends stay best friends, you like it or not. Well, from my side." he asked and then added "I'll allow you to slap me."

Margaret was walking along, she was on her way to see Remus, her future husband. She had mature quite a bit. Her hair was longer, no longer a frizz, but had actuall waves. She was slender a taller(only too Remus's shoulder), and yet her face just seemed more delicate while staying the same. Soon she noticed Remus get out of a car at a coffee house with . . . Dani. She couldn't belive it. Watching out for cars, she crossed the street. "Remus, I was on my way to meet you." She said with a smile. Then she turned to Dani who had a look of confusion, as to who she was.

Dani's face softened, then she turned and looked at him. She shook her head and looked forward again. "No...I won't," she said, laughing slightly. She looked down, as they were in bumper-to-bumper traffic. "This whole week's just been rotten for me. I get a case that should be a piece of cake, but the stupid courts won't have it because - ugh.." she put her forehead in her hand, "He's related to one of them and they won't have him in Azkaban....then L -" she paused. She was about to say 'Lily and James,' but decided not to say anything. You never know - Moody had taught her that. "Later on," she covered up, "I get this depressing part in a book that I'm reading at 11:30 at night for some reason, Sirius and I hardly get to see eachother anymore, and people at the office have just been pulling the weirdest things with me," she said, resting her forehead on her fist. She listened to the silence and laughed. "Sorry," she said, "Bad week, as you can tell...to tell you the truth," she said, speaking more slowly, "I've been a bit depressed lately...insomnia and stuff...I'm not as happy as I usually am..."

"Well, that's a relief." Remus smiled, and when she stopped in the middle of the sentence, he suddenly remembered the true reality which was waiting outside. And he realized that she knows about Lily and James. There was no point to hid that anymore "So, you know. Sorry, I wasn't sure. Couldn't risk. You know the procedure." he leaned back on the seat and once again moved hair which was falling on his face "I know about Sirius." he added and put comforting arm over Dani's shoulders "I'm sorry. Me acting like a jerk didn't help that either. But, you always have me on your side. Looks like you forgot that. I'm glad that I was here on time to remind you." he smiled and then suddenly turned his head as he heard familiar voice. Looking back at the traffic, he relized that they won't get out so fast "Come Dani, there are faster ways to get anywhere we want to." he said, took her hand and pulled her out of the car.
Just as he got out, Margaret approached "I'm so happy to see you darling." he smiled and kissed her on the lips "You can always find me. And look who I found." he said and stepped to a side to the girls could see each other.

Dani smiled softly. Yeah, she was lucky....lucky that she had found the only person who could provide her with that kind of comfort. When she saw Margaret again, she grinned and said, "Hey!" while pulling her into a hug. "How are you?!" she asked. Suddenly, something beeped, and the smile disappeared from her face like a lightbulb going out. She answered her phone. "Hello?....yes...." her face showed no expression, but her eyes darted around the sidewalk she was staring at. "Okay. I understand," she said. She snapped her cell phone shut and turned to Margaret, giving her a knowing look. "We have to go <i>now</i>," she said, meaning the mission that they were supposed to go on later that night - the secret one that only a few Order members knew about.

Margaret looked at her friend shocked. "Now?! But . . ." She looked at Remus. She didn't tell him, hoping she could just sneek away later on.

Dani gave her an intense look and said, "Nowww..." trying to convey her meaning. She jerked her head toward the car, trying to say, <i>NOW! We have to go NOW!</i>

James sighed, glancing over his shoulder to the closed door of his new home. It's been a while since he and his wife, Lily, went into hiding in Godric's Hollow, but it was still difficult. He could barely go out, and discretion was the highest priority when he did. He had a family now, and safety of his wife and newborn son, Harry, meant the world to him. Whatever happened to his plans after leaving school? Working for the Ministry wasn't too horrible. But he had to resign his position after Voldemort had grown in power. Had decided to hunt the Potters down. So, aside from select Order members, no one knew where the Potters disappeared to, and it was best left that way.

As such, Mr Potter was on his way to a meeting with the Order now. The War had steadily gotten worse, the news horrifically grim, and it was important that the Order discuss the next plan of action.

James lowered his hat over his eyes, letting shadow fall across his face to mask his features. And with one final glance over his shoulder, he Apparated to the Headquarters.

Natasha sat in a chair at Headquarters, biting her lip nervously. She had just called her cousin, Dani, and told her that she had to go on her mission early...she hoped that she and her friend Margaret were alright. She had to stay in that corner and wait for any news - ANY news. Circumstances had changed - things were much more dangerous now.

(( *confused* sorry i'll do my best to jump in....sorry if it sounds stupid))

A dark look had grown across Fiona's face since she had left Hogwarts.
Her eyes that always seemed so mischeivous and welcoming now look dull and fierce, her blonde/brown hair that always used to have life and shine now hung limply and dead around her sunken and distruaght face.
She heaved out a huge sigh as she lay on the bed covered in dirty sheets, everything had gone wrong, nothing had turned out the way she planned, instead of controlling her own life, they were controlling her's.

She rolled over and sat up, looking into the dark face of Snape, she glared at him, but a slight curl formed on his lips as he smiled.
"Carry on Fiona" he said, she shuddered, she didn't want to say anything, she didn't want to betray her brother Danny and Cousin Remus, she didn't want to betray the order and her best friends - Friends came an evil voice somewhere in her head Friends who havn't even tried to contact you since you left Hogwarts

Fiona let out a sob, she knew there must have been a reason for them not contacting, she shook her head, as Snape raised his wand and pointed it at her.
"I said continue!" he barked making everyone in the room jump, Fiona shuddered again, she couldn't help it, they had her under Veritaserum and the Imperius Curse, she opened her mouth and started to speak.

"There's a meeting tonight at the headquarters of the Order of the Pheonix, most of the order members will be there -" "And what about the Potters, this is why we're holding you captive, your the Potters closest friend!" Cried Snape, Fiona glared at him.
"If you let me finish, the Potter shan't be there" she paused, she could feel the effects of the Veritaserum wearing off, she took the opportunity, keeping her mind closed continued.
"The Potters will be in hiding by now, they have heared what you have planned, and they have hidden, where i don't know" she struggled to not say that they had gone into hiding, but she had triumphed by not saying where......

A evil look grew across Snape's face, he stood up and walked over to her, his hooked nose seeming more menacing then ever, his greasy hair framing his evil face.
He raised his arms and brought it down, smacking Fiona across the cheek.
Tears formed in her eyes and she was pushed down onto the bed by the sheer force of his hit, she lifted her fingers to her cheek and wiped away a trickle of blood, she stared into his face, he stared back.
"Pathetic!" he spat at her, he then turned on his heel and walked out of the room, everyone else following behind him.
The door closed with a snap and then a click as they locked it, leaving Fiona sinking into the darkness, she let out another sob and lay her face into the pillows as she cried uncerimonisly for the rest of the lonely night.......

((just so you know Fiona is captured by Voldemort and his followers...... if that makes sense.... ))

Dani and Margaret apparated outside of the small house. Dani put her hand over Margaret's mouth, pressed both of their backs flat against the wall, listening hard. She heard sobbing...then footsteps walking away. "Okay," she said, barely audible, "Here goes. Ready?" Margaret nodded.


About two ad a half hours later..

Natasha's face went completely white. She almost crushed her cell phone with her hand as she listened, but finally just snapped it shut and rushed into the meeting room. "Smith!" she said, frantic and hysterical-looking, "Danielle and Margaret...Smi - Sum - they're..."

Hours passed as Fiona lay in that dark, dirty, dank house, crying untill she fell into a light sleep.
She woke a few hours later, to find that the darkness that had been her only comfort that night was grdually fading, and the first rays of light were dawning.

She sniffed and sat up, wiping her grubby face, she looked round hoping to see her wand, but no luck they had taken it a few days before when they had captured her.
She felt the warm stinging sensation in her eyes as the tears started to form, she pulled her knee's to her chest and hugged them, resting her forehead on her arms.
She sat trying to think back to the old days, especially they day of Danni's birthday, but these memories were always over taken by the last few days of pain that she had been put through.

She lifted her head as the door opened and a figure swept in, followed by Snape, he looked furious, his dark eyes flashing, his hand curled into a fist round somthing.
A moved towards her, his hand stretched out, within minuets his hand was clasped round her throat, she gagged trying to breathe, the hand that had been clasped round somthing appeared, in his hand was a small vile full of silvery clear liquid, Veritaserum.......he moved it towards her mouth, tilting her head back and opening her mouth, he brought the bottle and tipped it slightly, poiseing it over her lips........
