This RPG is set around 35-40 years after the Battle of Endor. The galaxy is finally recovering from their long war with the Yuuzhan Vong. The Jedi Order, shattered and much depleted in the fighting, has relocated to Ossus, since the Yuuzhan Vong destroyed their Temple on Yavin 4.

Thanks again to the Yuuzhan Vong, many people hate and fear the Jedi, so the new Council has declared that lone Jedi should not be sent somewhere without a partner. For the more dangerous areas, there are teams of Jedi, sometimes working in cooperation with teams of the most highly trained commandos. In response to a plea for help from a planet, one of those teams of Jedi is being sent to help.

Rules:
No Powergaming (i.e. having characters with special powers (beyond normal Force abilities), killing dozens of people in a short time, etc)
No killing another persons character without their permission.
No playing the villains or whoever.
No turning this into a matter of Galactic importance.
No being the heir of a planet or something and having a whole fleet at your disposal or whatever.
No playing as major Star Wars characters (i.e. Luke Skywalker, Mara Jade, Han Solo, Leia Organa Solo, etc), or their relatives, or whatever.
Have a realistic age - 20 is young to be a Jedi Knight, let alone a Master.

Please remember - if you're a Jedi Master, act it. A Jedi Master is not going to be getting captured all the time, or be clumsy, or whatever.

There will be commandos and stuff brought in later on, so if you want to play one of them, PM me or whatever.

Preferred Weapon(s): Two orange-bladed lightsabers - their hilts can be twisted together (it locks that way and has to be untwisted a certain way) to form a double-bladed lightsaber, a DL44 blaster (Han uses one), and a few EMP and Sonic grenades.
Phys. Appearance: Sahrai has short, jet-black hair and grey eyes. He is 6'2", and is highly athletic. He tends to wear a black combat jumpsuit with a black Jedi robe over top.
Background: Sahrai was born in the latter stages of the war with the Yuuzhan Vong, and went into training at an early age. He has an extreme knowledge of weapons and combat, and if he wasn't a Jedi, he could make a living as an assassin, and be one of the best in the trade. He became a Jedi Knight at the age of 20, and at the age of 26 he was raised to Jedi Master, and put in command of a new team of Jedi, all either new Masters, or still Jedi Knights. His parents are still alive, and his father is one of the Generals of the New Republic.

Sahrai stepped out of the council chamber, heading towards his room. The rest of his team had heard the briefing, and should be heading to get ready now. The mission could end up being difficult. He ran the briefing over in his head again, pondering the best way to complete the mission. "We recieved a message from the planet Taarin yesterday, requesting Jedi assistance. Many centuries ago, an entire civilization landed on their planet, their own having been destroyed. They were the Maedan. Since then, the two cultures have coexisted peacefully, until recently. The Maedan have attacked and destroyed one of the chief Taarin cities, and have declared war. While they are able to defend themselves, the Taarin need to know why the Maedan are attacking, and they want peace. Thus, you are being sent to help." Master Skywalker himself had assigned them the mission, so it certainly must be important.

Background: He was actually born on a transport ship as it fled Coruscant during the invasion by the Yuuzhan Vong, but as they had not yet gone into hyperspace, he counts Coruscant as his homeworld. His parents could be considered wealthy by normal standards, so after the war, he had a lot of things that the average person did not. He was admitted to the Jedi Temple as soon as his parents considered him old enough, and while he was there, he became good friends with Sahrai Faradej, and they did a lot together. Now he is the second-in-command of the squad, under Sahrai.

The only thing that attracts others to look upon her face is her eyes. The color is a dark hue of purple, and seems to change when her emotions change. Otherwise, she is plain. Her hair is a dark brown. She usually wears a dark-colored skirt made for fighting, and a medim-color tunic, along with black boots, and her brown robes.
Background:Her parents, once they learned about her possibility to be a Jedi, let them take her, and she was trained. She was taken as an apprentice to one of the lesser known Knights of the New Jedi Order. She was trained to fly an A-Wing ship, but can also fly in an X-Wing.

Dress: Soldier's, dull green forest camo with black utility vest and belt, boots.
Weapons: Standard Taarin ground specialist's issue - sidearm, blaster rifle equipped with grenade launcher and sighting equipment, Taarin parallel-bladed close-combat knife.
Skills: na'Tatha specializes in political science and diplomacy, but has six years of actual off-world combat experience fighting trading-route pirates. Also, due to intense ground specialist training (Earth equivalent: American Green Berets), can deal with medical emergencies, night combat, and undercover ops.
Personality: Practical, stubborn, argumentative, but knows how to take orders. Has a strong sense of duty and honor. Only a few have truly broken through her hard outer shell, but she would fight to the death to protect those who have.
History: Hand-picked for the Taarin military at the age of ten, na'Tatha - for so everyone calls her, except for extremely close friends - was pushed to realize every inch of her combat potential. Sahrai sat down in the pilot's chair on the Serendipity, running his hands over the controls. "We're coming out of hyperspace," he said over the comm. He gave the others time to brace themselves before pulling back the lever. Starlines flared as the mottled sky of lightspeed reverted to a view of a medium-sized, green planet floating in the middle of space, with bits of blue dotted over it. "I should've come here for vacation," Sahrai muttered to himself, scanning the readouts.

Kyane stepped onto the bridge, his eyes taking in the view. "This is the warzone? It'd be a pity if it got destroyed," he said.
"I know what you mean," Sahrai replied. "It seems the Vong never reached this planet. I wonder if they know how lucky they are," he mused.

They entered the atmosphere, heading towards the Taarin's capitol city - Taara. "They certainly enjoy double-a's," Kyane commented wryly.

Sahrai deftly piloted the ship into the landing bay, gently easing back on the repulsorlift lever until the ship was resting firmly on the ground. "Okay, Eljaraj, Viree13, Kyane - pack up - they're sending a representative to escort us to our suites and fill us in."

Valera, I figure that could be you. If you had a different entrance in mind, that's fine - just tell me, and I'll have someone else in that spot.

Taarin Subcommander na'Tatha watched as the New Republic gunship set down with a hiss of venting gases. She thumbed her comm link. "na'Tatha to Central - the Jedi are here."

Sighing under her breath, she squared her shoulders and walked to the base of the ship's exit ramp, ready to greet the Jedi when they emerged.

Sorry to those who think I'm rushing it, but I've run several RPGs before, and I find that when everyone's separated at the start, it's best to get them together as soon as possible.

Sahrai shouldered his pack, letting the other team members get off before he closed up the ship, activating the complex security system. "Sorry if it's an offense to your security," he said, turning to the Taarin representative, "but that ship is rather valuable to me, and I've found that no place is too safe."

na'Tatha held up a closed fist in the Taarin military salute. "On behalf of the Taarin Associate," she said, picking her words carefully, "I welcome you to Taara." In a less official tone, she added, "I understand, sir." She would have done the same herself - it was only common sense. "I am Subcommander na'Tatha; I am to be the liason between the Associate and the New Republic."
