Actually, my Dad's been trying to make me go cold turkey on the fora (plural of "forum, you know), so you're not alone. But I saw LWW yesterday and it is so good! But here's what's kinda bittersweet: I think it was better than the book, and the Chronicles of Narnia are my favorite books ever! so, I died a little bit yesterday [/i]

It was great! Although I have not herd of most of those others.
Have you seen Starwars episode 3? Personaly I found it disapointing. It could have been much longer, and the Jedi died patheticly. (the comedy didn't really work either)

Oh, seriously? I loved "revenge of the Sith"! There were huge drawbacks, sure.. some that should have killed the movie, but did'n't- such as crappy [Sorry, webmistress and mods] dialogue between Anakin and Padme [their "alone time" scenes are just painful], and Anakin's ultimate turn to the Darkm Side of the Force was too fast. He was like, "Oh my God! I just killed Mace windu! Oh wait, you mean I'm evil now? Okay! Let's whup some Jedi-@$$." Not very convincing. But I thought that the "Execute Order 66" scene was quite well done. They should have shown the extermination of the entire Council, at least, but I liked it. Well, not liked it; you know, it was well done. I think it was the music that sold it. The heart-wrenching music of "A Hero Falls" playing against the gunning down of your favorite hippie peace-freaks. I'm kind of embarrassed to mention it, but I almost cried when Plo Koon was shot down (he's my favorite Jedi). I know that I have bored you senseless, but I have a tendency to talk long-windedly about movies/ stage productions/ music that I like.

You didn't bore me. I injoy talking abuot things like this.
And I do agree, the scense with Anakina nd Padme... I usualy skip them... And Anakin did turn a little quick.
But the Jedi's deaths ceense portrayed them as very week... they could of at least done as good as the youg apprentice at the Jedi Temple that Senator Organa saw.
One of the main things for the Jedi si to be able to sense danger and such... why didn'tthey sens something as soon as order 66 was set in motion. And they could have at least blocked some shots.
Also I found a couple of there lines that wre ment to be humores (example: "Chancelor Palpatiene... Sith Lords are our speciality." ) seemed out of character for the one saying it... and others seemed to planned... not sure why but that's just how it seemed to me.
It was sad all the Jedi died... Ploo Koon is my favorite Also! Has been ever since seeing Episode 1

Keep in mind that the Dark Side of the Force clouded their judgement and senses, not to mention the fact that they were jumped by their "allies". Some of the comedy was quite flat, I admit wholeheartedly. And I'm a bit two-sided about the droids-are-nothin'-but-comic-relief thing they had going on. I enjoy it, but what if it sabotages the dignity of Artoo-Deetoo, you know? But it sounds like you have the DVD! Any good? I do'n't have any of them on DVD, but I do have the OT on VHS, and they are the original-original trilogy! Collector's items, if they had not been so thoroughly "loved" (aka "maltreated").

True.. but I still hoped they would put up a better fight than they did... I was expecting something big! Allso they skipped around so much... I owuld have liked it if they had filled in some places. The movie could have been almost twice as long.
Yeah, the droids... I really did not think the "Human acting" for the droids fit. Like moaning when they get cut up... doesn't seem to fit. That's true though, poor R2 is the smartest droid there is!
Yup got the DVD!!!! I have all the movies on DVD except one and two. Those we have on tapes. My dad did not let me see Episode 3 in theaters so I am not sure how good the DVD is compared to the theater releases... but besides what I Have listed it was great!
That's cool! I would love to have some original trilogy VHS! Ours were taped from tv. And we watched them so much they skip, cut out, has constant static... so I got the DVDs to replace them.
I have been a starwars fan back in my earliest memories even...lol. So it's kindof disapointing to know that the movies are over with now... But there is no way on earth I wouldn't want them to come out with it!!

It was great in the theatre. My dad did'n't get to enjoy it as much, because he was dealing with some hernia-related nerve problems. He could'n't sit for long without hurting like billy-oh. But yeah, the big screen thing helps. Now, imagine the opening space battle in IMAX with honest-to-God THX Surround Sound and a digital projector. That is what I did not get to see. But someday, my friend, when Lucas makes the 3-D versions, I shall have such things....

Nice! I so wish we could have went and seen it! Of all the movies that we go and see in theaters. (which is not very many but still...) That would have been the best one to see.
Yeah... the 3-D remakes. Those sound like they are going to be good! I can't wait till they come out with those. But I herd it was not oging to be until 2007 so it will be a while if my information is corect.

I got it from Entertainment Weekly Magazine. My aunt gives me issueds with geeky articles like that. I'm so happy! I got RotS yesterday! Well, on Sunday, 'cause it's 20 minutes after midnight here; no idea about your neck of the woods. Now I've got to Get Episodes I, II, IV, V, and VI on DVD.

Have you ever watched any of the "Sar Wars" fan films? They are so awesome (well, some of them.). I'd recommend "Attack of the Returning Phantom Filmmaker's New Empire", "Figure Club", "The Sith Apprentice": those are all really good. They're also some of the longer ones, but they're still good.
