Dani's face went as white/grey as ash, and her jaw dropped to about her chest. She grabbed Lily's arm and said, "Excuse us," with a huge grin on her face. She turned and dragged her into the Great Hall, muttering to her as they went. "Listen - remember how we swore to keep eachother's secrets? Well you're BREAKING that promise..."

"I never said anything!" Lily said, feeling guilty,"Look I'm sorry..."

Dani laughed. "It's alright...Sirius isn't smart enough in that area to pay attention <i>or</i> have noticed...don't worry about it - just don't do it again." She smiled.

"I only hope she desn't do the same as I did to her with James..." she said, half talking to herself.

James once again nervously glanced at Lilly and then in slow motion turned back to Fiona.
"Fi, I have to ask you something. So, don't freak out even before I ask, alright?" he gave her one long undefined look and once again, without waiting for her responce, he continued "Would you go to the dance with me?"

Fiona stared at James - was he crazy was he immediate thought, hysteria filled her, she wanted to laugh and keep laughing untill she died of laughter.
"Potter, you want to go to the dance with me! but i thought you liked you know who!" she replied trying her best not to laugh

Dani and Lily sat down at the Great Hall table together, laughing and whispering. "Honestly, if someone doesn't ask me, I'm NOT GOING," she said. "It's not like a regular dance, when you can go by yourself in jeans and a t-shirt. No, this is a BALL. I <i>hate</i> these things 'cause you NEED a date....honestly, if no one asks me, I'm sitting up in my dorm and studying."

James gave Fiona one short death glare as she started laughing "Seriously, I sometimes think that you just fell from some other planet." he said and shook his head slightly "I think that by now every single person in this school know who I like. And after about ten thousand times she rejected me, I finally have a plan. And I need you for that, you simply have to help me to get her. So, I will repeat once again, would you go to the dance with me?"

Sirius overheared Danni's conversation with Lily and grinned.
"Aww Smith, why don't you ask someone instead of waiting around for them!" he replied leaning back and placing his hands behind his head.
"Hey i got an idea why don't you or Evans ask you Fiona's brother Danny?" he suggested grinning.

Lily blushed,"Nah, I'd prefer to go with someone else."

Dani hit Sirius on the arm and said, "No thank you, <i>Black</i>." She emphasized his last name to get back at him for calling her Smith.

Black cringed for a moment, pretending that Danni had hurt her.
He turned to look at her and pulled a puppy dog face.
"Aww come on Smith, it saves you spending the night doing homework and it means that for once you get out of your shell and let that hair of yours down" he continued winking at her as he moved to start fiddling with her hair...

LIly sat there, embarresed.

Dani stopped his wrist just as he was about to touch the hair by her ear. "I'll thank you not to touch my hair, Sirius," she said, looking him in the eye and smiling her sideways smile. "And unless someone asks me soon, it looks like I'm going to <i>have</i> to stay in my dorm."

Fiona continued to stare at James, she couldn't help it, she liked him hell he was one of the best looking guys in the school, well next to Sirius.
And now he was asking her to the ball to be a pawn in his plan.
Somthing was telling her to say no, but a bigger part was yelling Say yes you moron!
She sighed and looked round at Lily, she would be crushed and Fiona would probally be labled as a traitor, she didn't like the idea but at the same time she really wanted to go through with this.

She turned back to James, a deep look of mystery in her eyes.
"Potter let me get back to you on that...." she replied, she turned to walk away but James had grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her back, then without warning he had pushed his mouth against hers and kissed her.
Fiona tore her lips from his and stared dagger at him.
"I want an answer now" he replied, she glared at him but feeling her heart soar as he had kissed him, she looked at his eyes, and saw the desperation and nodded.
"Fine Potter i'll go to the ball with you" she replied then without warning he hugged her and walked over to Sirius leaving Fiona left on her own.
