Padme snapped her head around and caught the blaster. "Thanks!" She jumped off the reek and shot droids as she ran through the ranks. Seeing the cart Anakin and her had been on she rushed over and hoped onto the back ot the smaller, tamer creature. The heels of her boots dug into it's sides to move it forward and she used leg pressure to steer it.

Reia stood behind the stone pillars and engaged in a very Old West-style gunfight, using the pillar as a shield when shots cut too closely. Within about seven minutes, she had taken down approximately twenty droids. Under different circumstances, she would have been laughing and yelling [in a very Han Solo/gunslinger manner,] but matters were serious. She looked over at Obi-Wan, behind whom the acklay was sneaking up. She fired a shot to slow it down for that microsecond he needed, then turned to a droid facing her and fired.

After a few seconds combat with one particularly well programmed droid, she felt sudden weight and turned around, expecting to see droids in the cart. Instead Anakin stood there blocking shots. She smiled before turning back around to steer. Padme kicked the beast to make it move faster and it went from a fast walk to a gallop. It trampled droids she didn't shoot that were in the way.

"Watch it!" Ben said, seeing a shot comming from anouther direction.

Cheyenne poused to see were it came from, above. "Ah!" She yelped as anouther came, slising the back of her shoulder blade, and she fell to her knees.

"Cheyenne!" Ben exclamed, jumping to her side, blocking all shots, which shot back at them.

"Just give me a minute." Cheyenne grunted, she was pretty pain tolertent.

Padme successfully shot down multiple droids. But one in her blind spot, aimed for her. It undershot and hit the beast she was riding instead. The creature tumbled down and she came tumbling after it. The cart in the back had flipped onto its side. Sand stung the cuts across her back. Ignoring it she grabbed the blaster and shot down any trying to surrond her.

Reia continued to shoot at the droids, but one of them came on a craft and shot her upper arm. She yelled out and clutched it, but continued to fire. She made her way over to the center, where many of the others were.

Padme stood up and used a half a second to scrap as much sand as possible out from the Nexu scratches searing across her back. Blasting away she took cover inside the cart alongside Anakin.

Reia used many of the tricks that they had taught her at the Academy during training for ground assaults. This was what she lived for - this was what she had strived for. The burn in your lungs as you try to keep your endurance going, the ache in your muscles when you pause to take a breath from the strain, the sense of accomplishment when you've cleared a threat....it was exhilirating. She found herself side-by-side with Padme, and looked over at her, smirking and saying, "Never thought you'd be caught in the middle of a battle, did you, Senator?"
