Before anyone knew it, Edward had slipped out of Evin's room, down the stairs, into the living room as fast as his stiff legs could carry him. His eyebrows bent forward as he opened the door with a twist of his scissors in the lock. The door swung open and their stood Edward in the cold on the porch.

Kyle looked up, as the door opened. He looked to Edward and looked quite scared. "Dude... what is that?" He was too busy trying to figure out what Edward was, so he threw Rachel aside on the ground. Rachel groaned and stayed on the ground, looking at her arm. It was slightly bruised. She didn't know what Kyle was looking at, but she was too shook up to look.

Edward stared into Kyle's face for a few moments before he walked towards Rachel and bent down to look at her. "Rachel..." His face looked paler than usual in the light of the moon.

Rachel slowly looked up and saw Edward. She looked into his eyes, but then noticed Kyle walking towards them. "Listen, whatever you are! You have no business interuppting me and Rachel." He glared and was getting ready to throw Edward off.

Edward cared for Rachel that he didn't hear Kyle's warning from behind him. He stared into her face that was lit under the stars light. He didn't talk, but just kept staring gently into her eyes.

Rachel was looking into his eyes, as well until she noticed what Kyle was about to do. Her eyes widened and she watched Edward. "Watch out!" She yelled and Kyle pulled Edward from behind away from Rachel. "She's mine. Back off!"

Edward stumbled down to the ground as Kyle threw him off. He looked frightened as fear swelled up in his eyes. He raised his hands infront of himself for protection. He made no noise and neither did he talk.

Rachel quickly stood up and stood in between him and Kyle. "LEAVE HIM ALONE, KYLE!" She cried. Kyle shook his head and glared at Rachel. "Not a chance!" He was going to push Rachel to the side, but she glared back at him and punched his jaw. "GO!" She screamed, while holding her hand in pain.
Kyle shook his head, to regain feeling in his jaw again. He grabbed Rachel by the arm again and put his face inches away from hers. "Don't think this is over... Rachel." He then threw her against the stairs. She was breathing heavily, and she couldn't move. Kyle walking off.

Edward managed to rise from his feet. As Kyle was walking off he turned around and started to walk back up the stairs of the old porch. His head stared to the floor and as he walked past the one of the wooden pillars of the porch he slashed at it in anger, doing quite some damage to it.

Rachel heard Edward slash at the pillar. She winced from the sound of it, but slowly and painfully sat up. She held her bruised arm and bit her lip in pain. She wanted to talk to Edward, but she was scared that he was angry at her.

(Wow.... I'm lost....)
Evin suddenly notices Edward's gone, for he hadn't realized right away, so involved in his Gameboy that he had picked up after he sat down on the bed. Evin hears what sounds like shouts out on the back porch, and runs downstairs after looking out his window to see what the commotion is all about....

Edward stared at the door infront of him and scraped some of the paint off with one of his scissors. Why did people treat him so differently? Why did Kim leave him up there alone? Why did the inventor die before he could finish Edward? So many questions filtered through his mind and he was frustrated.

Evin runs out onto the back porch, only to see a lone Edward. He goes and sits down next to him. "Hey there...."

Rachel slowly and tiredly stood back up and sighed. "Edward..." She whispered, before seeing her brother come outside. She shook her head and looked to the ground. She held her arm in pain and bit her lip, sadly. She felt like this was all of her fault.

Rachel slowly lifted her head to look at him. "You aren't different, Edward. You're human too." She started letting silent tears run down her cheeks. She sighed and looked away. She was specifically looking in the spot where Kyle had left.
