Rachel looked back to Edward with sad eyes. "Edward... you are loved. Why do you think I want you safe?" She whispered the last part. She slowly walked towards him and looked into his eyes.

Edward still stared down at his hands. He didn't answer her. He was quiet and still. His body trembled in the cold slightly as his breath could be seen in the night.

Rachel sighed deeply and wiped her tears away. She gently kissed his cheek and whispered, "Thank you, for saving me." She wrapped her arms around herself, slowly and watched him.

Edward lifted his head and looked at her eyes. The last time anyone had kissed him was when he told Kim goodbye and she kissed him. He didn't know how to react to this.

Rachel looked back into his eyes and smiled a little. "Did I do something wrong?" She asked, somewhat scared for her actions. She really liked... no loved Edward. But, she didn't want to scare him off.

Edward backed away from her and said back to her, "No.." He turned his back to her and started to unlock the door, "I just don't want to hurt you.." He started to remember how many times he had hurt someone the last time he was in the town and he didn't want it to happen again.

Edward creeked open the door and hung his stiff neck low, "But the Police..." His eyes shifted from side to side as he remembered even more of what happened a few years ago.

Rachel continued looking at him. "The police won't hurt you, Edward. I'm here to keep you from all of that." She slowly looked down to his scissors and let her fingers slowly and softly glide over them. She made sure she didn't cut herself.

(Hey, for not seeing the entire movie you're doing great! But still, to actually get what Edward is remembering, you could always rent it.)
Edward didn't know she was touching him, for he had no sense of touch on his hands. "Thank you.." His voice seemed to shiver slightly in the cold.

Rachel nodded and looked back up at him. "Let's get you inside. You need to have a place to sleep." She smiled a little and slowly opened the door. She walked in and guided him back upstairs; helping him walk up.

(Yeah, it should help alot.)
Edward walked back up the stairs still feeling uncomfortable in the house. He was used to sleeping up in the cold castle without the comfort of a warm bed.

Rachel led him into their guest bedroom, while gathering blankets for him. "You can sleep in here, if you want." She looked back to him and smiled. "If you aren't comfortable, just tell me." She fluffed up his pillow and then sighed. She stuck her hand on her hip and looked out the window.
