*smiles* You are all very much welcome. Oh, and alright, Maetharanel; I'll keep that in mind. Sorry.
Oh, Lady Aramel -- I might be going to the premiere, if my dad gets the tickets. I'm hoping for the best, but it's still a 50/50 chance. *crosses fingers*
And as for Barbossa appearing in the second movie, I found these photos, but I'm not quite sure where they're from. They could be from the second movie, the third movie, or was simply cut out from the first. I'm just going to put in the links because they're rather large:

But now that I think about it, I reckon it's from the two sequels, because if you look closely at Jack's belt, there's this odd furry thing hanging from it. That isn't present in the first movie, but from photos regarding the sequels, Jack has that odd thing hanging from his belt.
But who knows, eh?

If I may be so bold as to interject my professional opinion, there are two main rumors going around right now as to Barbossa's involvement in the sequels:
1. (unlikely) Barbossa has been resurrected by Chinese Black Magic and returns at the end of the second film to murder Jack.
2. (the slightly more plausible rumor) Barbossa is back (for some reason yet to be explained) and actually ends up teaming up with the good guys to defeat Davey Jones for reasons of his own.
Personally, I think the second sounds far more likely. From the pics I've seen (there are more related to the ones Itarille posted), that's probably what's going to happen, or something like it. But nobody's really sure. Most spoilers can be found fairly easily (through interviews and inside tips), but Disney is being wonderfully vague with this little aspect. I have a friend on the IMDb discussion board for this movie that works for Disney and has given many very good hints (and yes, I trust him, because everything he's said so far has proven to be true, even though he said it months before it became "public"). All he'll say about Barbossa, though, is "He has a relatively small part in the second, which then gets larger in the third." So I dunno. Personally, I'm just glad to see Barbossa back, period. He's actually one of my favorite characters, in an odd way.

Additionally, regarding Barbossa, there has been some speculation regarding the ending of the first movie. At the end of the credits, Jack the Monkey snags another Aztec coin and becomes cursed again. While I'm not sure how this could link to Barbossa, some people think it does.
Some also think it's a flashback, though I think I read somewhere that there won't be much of any flashbacks in the sequels.
Either way, I'm also very glad that Barbossa will be making a reappearance. Another person I'm thrilled to see with a bigger role is Commodore James Norrington. I love that man, along with Jack; I don't see why so many people dislike him.
Ta!

Yay Norrington! He's my second-favorite character in the whole movie (second only to Jack). Anyone who claims to hate Norrington probably hasn't watched the Delted Scenes. You get to see a much sweeter side to him in those, and it's more obvious that he truly does love Elizabeth.
As to the flashbacks, no, there won't be any (again coming from my inside source ). I don't think it'll have anything to do with the monkey after the credits. When it takes the piece of gold, the curse is simply restarted, not reinstated. The monkey should be the only cursed one. I'm have to get ready for school now, but when I get home I'll try to find some of the stuff I read on this topic. But I warn you: massive spoilers will ensue.

Ellie thanks for the screen caps! They were hot! I'm just gonna post my comments in red. I can't help myself!
Itarille Ellie wrote: I warn you. This will be yet another ridiculously long post, but it'll be pictures: the screencaps I've taken of the Pirates 2 trailer. I've tried to snatch as many details as I could, so even the flashing scenes at the end are included here. Enjoy! ----------------------------- (Ah, pretty Scruffy!Norrington. James is a fine man that way. ) * * * Dang! Norrington looks hot! "Don't touch the camera Johnny!" * * * "I'll pull this trigger!" * * * "Wait! Let me pose for the camera! Hang on!" *trips* (Who could they be? Possibly Jack, Will, but who else?) * * * The Three Musketeers on vacation! (Jack. But look behind him - there are two people standing on the rooftops - Norrington and Will? I dub it the Church Duel!) * * * Lol! I noticed the 2 fighting ppl in the trailer! "Well, if the won't listen to me-fine! I'll leave!" -Jack (bottom left corner looks like Scruffy!Norrie and maybe Will. I think this is part of the Church Duel.) * * * (there's someone behind Jack. Could be Will or Norrie or someone else. Inside the Church?) * * * It's P.J.! "New Director here to win you an oscar!" * * * *Will Turner practicing vocals for wedding? (again, it looks like Scruffy!Norrie and perhaps Will. That wheel looks very much alike to that wheel attached to the old church. Again, I think it's part of the Church Duel scene) * * * "Woah! This is good excercise, ain't it, Norrington?! How do hamsters do it?" (Norrie? Will? On the rooftops of the church?) * * * "WOHOOO! Another cliff to jump off of!" -Jack Sparrow making him diving debut in the sequel to PotC. (Davy Jones' crew members and a cannon, perhaps.) * * * (Rumoured name is Lord Cutler Beckett, of the East India Trading Company) * * * * * * "I found you, Jack!" o_O! (Davy Jones' crew members?) * * * ^Yup! Cannonball! (Why is the rum gone?!) * * * "Why is it that I never have rum these days?" -Jack[ (Jack somersaulting, with what could be Will, Norrie, or Bellamy on the wall. Again, seems a part of that Church Duel.) * * * "Stop! That's not part of the script! Your gonna break the camera again!" -Will (The Pearl moored where? Could be the Isle de Muerta, or the cannibals' island) * * * ^Cannibal's Island! Is it called Monkey Island or somethin'? "Wait for me!" (another shot of the unknown swordfighters, perhaps on the rooftops of that Church again.) * * * "Come give me a hug!" (someone caught in a rope trap, perhaps Jack before his capture by the natives) * * * (Pintel and Ragetti, with the tentacle of the kraken in the hull of a ship, perhaps the Pearl. See those things in between Pintel and Ragetti? Those are boots. If you watch the trailer, someone gets pinned, upside down, against the hull by the kraken tentacle.) * * * (Jack with his compass) * * * "Work you stupid Compass! By the power of Jack Sparrow!" Unfortunately I ran out of time. Bye! Ya'll gotta baby sit! Brb to edit post! * * * * * * (Lizzie in her wedding dress and veil.) * * * (Boy!Lizzie in a barfight, it seems. Tortuga?) * * * (Tribal skull-mask dancer) * * * (Tribal dancers) * * * (Jack lunging at the camera.) * * * (the chest, which some people claim to believe is the infamous Dead Man's Chest) * * * * * * (Cutler Beckett and a map of the world. Evil plans?) * * * * * * * * * (I got all three shots!) * * * * * * * * * (clearer shot of Bootstrap, talking to Jack. You can see his red bandanna in the foreground.) * * * * * * * * * * * * (Gibbs, in his bloomers, getting out of his hammock.) * * * * * * (Jack, Norrie, Will, and Lizzie, headed to Tia Dalma's.) * * * (odd torch bridge things.) * * * (prisoners? Purgatory? Jack's punishment if he doesn't fulfill the debt? Oh, look -- a dead man in a cage thing. *shudder*) * * * (the same walk, in the opening scene, only farther away.) ---------------------- And that is all! I hope I didn't kill your computers, darlings. Much love, -Ellie

Well! My father has just returned from the Pirates 2 set. Unfortunately, he had to leave for work before I could ask him for details. I'll wait until he gets home, and see how much he's allowed to tell me.

There's something with the monkey after the credits? I read something about that before I saw the movie, but I thought the person making it up for some fan fic! I'll have to watch it tomorrow!

It's really short. When I went to see it my third time in theaters, the girl taking our tickets told me and my friend that there was this clip at the end after the credits that hinted toward a sequel. So we sat there at the end through all the credits (with no fast-forward button, mind you), just to see the clip. It finally comes to it, and all it turned out to be was a little 20-second clip. Basically, the monkey swims back into the cave, crawls up on shore, climbs on top of the chest, takes a piece, and jumps at the camera, screaming. Interesting, but of very little worth in the long run (and certainly not worth sitting through all the credits at the movie theater for).

Yeah, I discovered that. I watched all the credits cause I was excercising during them, and I wanted to listen to the music anyway. Then the clip came on! Wow! The monkey takes a piece of gold! Amazing! lol Oh well, at least I've satisfied my curiousity now. lol

Yeah, I didn't know about that monkey scene either until my friend told me to let the DVD play so she could watch the extra scene. I said, "What the heck? Another scene!" And that's how I saw it. Ha ha!
