I was switching around tv channels today during commercial breaks, and I saw part of Fear Factor. The contestants were getting locked into iron chairs and (note to anyone who hates needles or is squeamish-don't read until I say it's ok)
They were having needles threaded through the skin on their arms. *shudders* *shudders again* Ugh! The things some people will do for money! Gosh, I hate needles!
(it's ok to read now)
And I kept watching it! Then I finally switched the station.

Ugh, I hate needles...I have this severe phobia of anything penetrating my skin. I'm already dreading this summer because I get my wisdom teeth out and that will be my first time to have surgery of any kind. Also, I'll have to get an IV, which i DO NOT want to do. I have enough trouble with shots, but a needle that stays there?! No. I seriously get the chills just thinking about it *shudder*

^ I was dreading getting my wisdom teeth out too. I kept asking my mom what an IV was. I was like "That's what stays in your arm, right?" And she kept saying "No" "Then what *is* an IV?" And I don't remember what she said.
But it wasn't too bad. I think they gave me some kind of sleep gas or something, and numbed my arm so I didn't really feel the IV. And then I woke up and they were all done.

Well, I wouldn't be so nervous if it were a simple extraction, but there's literally no room for my wisdom teeth to even grow in, so they're having to cut them all out. I know it won't be so bad, but just the thought of someone carving into my jaw...*shudder*. If you'll read my post on the "fears" thread, you'll see that one of my biggest fears is of cutting of any kind.

Hee hee, I'm never going to have any wisdom teeth! Thank you genes!
I actually don't mind needles. As long as I don't have look at them going through my skin, it's all good.

I only go to doctors when it is completely necessary. Otherwise, check-ups with doctors doesn't exist with me.

me niether... I even put my ribs and foot back in place when I poped a bone out of place.
After I saw the doctors do it once I figured out my own way to do it so I would not have to go back.

^ Unfortunately, being hit by a car was one of those things I couldn't really sort out myself. -laughs-
Spiral fractured femur.
Rather horrible...
But I hate hospitals, really.
I also REALLY hate injections, I don't mind needles...but I hate injections, I don't like things going into my skin either...not when someone else is doing it...
