Yes, they're not the same person, but Aragorn is played by Viggo, so how can Aragorn be fitter than Viggo??? *confuzzled*
lol, sure, well, I have a little problem, I can't hate Arwen, for my real name is Arwen... and I'm named after the Arwen in the books, so ...well, I can't kill her.... Even though I'd like to be her *g* (I BADLY want to be her, to be exact ;-) )

Your REAL name is Arwen  not Arriana, which is a cool name by the way, but like didn't you get teased so much at school?

when i say Aragorn, i mean the imagined charecter from the book was so much fitter than the aragorn of the movie. But on the other hand Viggio is wonderfully fit, and i just wached the extended edition of the ROTK last night, and the bit where Aragorn first sees the ships and collapses onto his knees and leans agaist Legolas OMG that never happend in the book but OMG, so fit. :jawdrop:

Well, my first name is Arwen, my second is Arianna, so it's all my name, like e.d. Viggo Peter Mortensen, my Name's Arwen Arianna Heinz.
Yes, this scene definately WASN'T in the book! I think the movie-Aragorn is a bit weaker....like in the Palantír scene..in the book he fights Sauron all night and wins and in the movie...well, you know what happens! (I went mad when I first saw the scene, I still do)

Yeah, it was very annoying comparing that to the book. But movie-Aragorn had his strong points too.

When I saw the palantir scene, bith my friend and I got really mad and yelled at the TV. But it was a soft yell, because it was a bout 4 o'clock in the morning. PJ made a greivious mistake by adding that scene in the way he did. Bad form Peter Jackson!

I agree w/ Anduril, giving him a weakness made it easier to relate to him.

I agree, he seemed more real in the movies as in the books he doesn't seem to have any weaknesses, I personally found movie-aragorn easier to relate too :)

Hmmm.... I 'm not sure about this....yet. I think P.J. shouldn't have altered the story that much, Tolkien wouldn't have liked it........

no way would he have liked it. Tolkien wasn't sexist ecept LOTR is set in a male predomint world. Arwen is a woman, she's not ment to fight. her role is to love aragorn, and what was the whole thing about Arwens fate being attached to the ring. LOTR is about 'the cosmic struggel between good and evil@ as tolkein said.

If i remember right, the whole exsistance of the Elves at that point in time was tied to the Ring. It was something about when the Ring was destroyed, the power of their Rings would die out or something. I could really use someones help to remember all this.

Yes. With the destruction of the One Ring, all the other rings will lose their power and the elves won't be able to use them any more.

Yes, but Arwen didn't have a ring of power. so why should she be bound to the ring? Elrond said this like she's gonna die...

Yes. Arwen is not bound to the ring in any way. PJ did make a big mistake out of that. Bad move Peter Jackson!
