Here's some poems I wrote. I went through an odd peom phase where I wrote a lot of poems. I don't usually write poems.
The sun sinks
Warmth leavs
A shrill horn calls
All are beconed
Ready for what should not be,
but what is
He's gone,
left our side.
A true friend,
passed into shadow.
He fough to protect,
paid with his life.
We are safe.
He will not be forgotten.
He will live on within us.
A star in the sky
shines down
I see your face
It has been dark too long
I see it in you
Yet this star holds hope.
Hope is victor of all.
We will win together.
Death has arived
Fly now, I will defeat it
The strain is great,
I must prevail, my friends are at need.
I face the fear
Look fire in the eye.
We are akin, yet how horribly he is warped.
I will try. i will win.
Darkness calls
The nine are waiting
Poised at your frontdoor.
The starless sky shows no mercy
There is no hope here.
Turn back, find what light you can.
They defy both life and death
You cannot escape this way.
The nine wield both steel and fear
There is no hope here.
Last one!
The shadow host comes
Darkening all
Flames of nothing defour
Leaving emtyness.
Onward are the stars.
Shining Jewels.
The darkness moves on.
Are the stars next?
To be quenched in unending night?
Never again shining.
It cannot come to this.
It must be fought.
Yet how to defeat this plague?
It devours all
We will try, we will find a way.
The stars will not stop shining.
Yes, I know. A lot of poems, and all are kinda depressing. But what do you think?

I love the 3rd one and last one.
They have good flow. and thats good thing.
Keep it flowing once you write really good poem or you "Experment(sp?)" with subjects like you did in these, one of the better things is that you one central theme which is Hope.

I wrote all these while listening to the LotR soundtraks, so some of them are connected to the song I was listening to.
