Isabell's brows wrinkled momentarily at Cat's sudden attempt at an accent, using the word "mate." Oddly enough, that one word triggered a rather unpleasant flashback to when she was in route to America for the first time. The sailors seemed foreign, all tanned-skinned and vulgar. They used that word in nearly every sentence it seemed.

Isabell shook the thought, entering the hall after Cat opened the door.
