Eleshna shrugged slightly, though smiling. "Doesn't really matter to me, whenever you wish. We seem to have made a good deal of ground, and I doubt they'll follow very far outside of the village, as long as I'm not there"

"I'm fine...But we should probably get some sleep tonight. " Jaden reasoned. Jaden turned his head to look back... he couldn't even see the vilage anymore.

Eleshna nodded in agreement but made no move to stop or look for a place to settle down. She smiled slightly as she rode on for a while longer.

Jaden continued on, leaving the decision of stopping more or less up to Eleshna. He personaly was in no hurry and didn't care much when they stopped.

Finally Eleshna yawned, rubbing a hand over her eyes and pulled Syndar to a stop. "I think we'll stop here. Even Syndar's pace is becoming weary..."

She slid from the saddle to land firmly on her feet then turned to pull her satchel from the horse, letting Syndar graze around the peaceful grasses.

She plopped down rather unlady-like and let out a heavy sigh, dropping to lie on her back and gaze at the stars, one knee propped up. Eleshna barely had time to gaze towards the stars, however, before weariness took over and she drifted to sleep, smiling peacefully, fully relaxed, something she hadn't been in a long while.

(Just to let you know I didn't have a sadle fr Syndar. But it doesn't realy matter...)

Jaden looked over to Eleshna, starting to ask a question. He stopped, seeing she was already sleeping. He carried over a blanket and covered her up after letting Azher loose to stand guard... just incase the men did follow them.

Jaden found a good spot to lay down and soon driffted off to sleep himself, his sleep peacefull and full.

Eleshna stirred only once during the night, to turn to rest in a more comfortable position on her side, though it never was very comfortable to begin with to sleep on the ground.

She awoke before the sun rose and strung her bow, creeping away silently while Jaden still slept. It wasn't long before she returned with two rabbits and fresh water in the water skins.

The sun had just barely lit the sky with a twilight glow when she had a fire going and had skinned and cleaned the small creatures. Before Jaden awoke, she had meat seasoned with gathered herbs and set to cook over the flames.

(o.o Have they ever eaten...? You know that was a stupid thing when I first started my book, not once did they stop to eat >< I mean how dumb can I be? haha)

Soon Jaden woke, smelling the fire and the meat cooking. His first thought was there was a fire in the forest. He opened his eyes and looked around. Seeing Eleshna coocking the rabits he relaxed and rose to his feet.

"You were up early..." he observed.

(lol. they haven't eaten much have they... *imagins how skinny they would look* lol, yeah but in books it's not always necisary to add that in all the time. Byt he way when are you gona get the next chapter up?)

Eleshna greeted him with a bright smile. "Yes... and it was very refreshing to get out and just do things normally without worry..."

"Did you sleep well? Here, sit down and try some. I found some wild herbs while I was out." she spoke in a somewhat chipper manner, holding out one of the cooked pieces on a stick for him to take.

"Thanks." Jaden said, tacking the meat. It had been a while since he had had a decent meal and he was hungry.... despite his lack of average intake when it came to food.

Jaden ate the meat, thinking of his own times before the Mathiliat had begun chasing him. He had often went out hunting... he had not went out just to hunt in..... a very long time. When he was on the run he shot what he ran across and saved it for later.

"It's very good." Jaden complimented her cooking.

Eleshna smiled at his compliment. "Thank you. Just a few herbs... I wasn't always running. Learned a few useful things here and there so I could feed myself without it being unbearable to swallow down" She chuckled slightly.

She finished some herself then sat there cross legged, watching as the sun rose higher and the multiple colors of the sunrise slowly faded. It was peaceful, so peaceful it almost scared her, as though it wasn't supposed to be so peaceful, as though it was a dream. If it was a dream, she didn't want to wake up, her face alight with wonderment at just being able to sit and watch the sun rise.

Jaden looked over towards the sun, shining down in it's briliance. The rays glancing off Eleshna's hair made it look more brown than it was, and the fire beside brighter.

The cool still morning was just the way it used to be when Jaden was little with his parents.... but he couldn't remember that anymore... in a strange way it still felt familier to him.

Not far away Syndar stood frazing, the sun shining brightly and reflecting of his sleek black hair. And Azher laying comfortably in the shade.

Sudenly Jaden realized that he almost felt like crying... he wasn't even sure why.

Eleshna smiled slightly watching his expression silently for a moment, noting how it seemed tears shimmered in his eyes. She wondered why but said nothing, deciding instead to take his hand in hers.

Jaden looked over at Eleshna and smiled, gripping her hand firmly as a tear rolled down his cheak.

"I love you." he siad looking into her eyes, another tear flowing down from his own.

Eleshna smiled, reaching her other hand over and lightly brushing away the tears with her fingers. "And I love you, Jaden..." She replied quietly as she rested her hand gently on the side of his face. She leaned forward, at first hesitant, then kissed him softly, her eyes closed for that moment.
