Was he? I'd forgotten that. But is there any indiction that Lucius went to school with the Mauraders (and Snape)? As far as I can remember it's not mentioned which you would have thought it would have been if there was only a year between them.
Oh and I love the idea of Lupin as a big teddy wolf _________________

I know I figured the age thing out but I can't remember now. I think James, Lily etc were at Hogwarts in the 1960's supposedly. And as James and Snape hated each other and not James and Malfoy I think there is evey chance that Malfoy was with them at school but the story has only focused on Snape. He and Lucius do seem to know each other very well so perhaps they were at school together. I also got the impression Molly and Arthur wed young and had children at a young age. But I'm not sure about the age of their eldest child. So if Remus is 41 when Harry is sixteen it tells you roughly how old Lily & James were when they died.

Hmm.. JF that's awesome that you figured that all out, and your right it never really mentions when Lucious went to school and if he went with the rest of them.
