Eleshna nodded, her smile widening slightly. "Yes, I think that might be a good idea. We'll just take it at a leasurely pace..."

She gathered her blanket and returned it to her satchel, then glanced around, the area now become lit by faint twilight. Seeing nothing unusual, but still feeling the chill of a threat, even if it was only her dream, Eleshna shivered slightly before climbing upon Syndar.

Jaden climbed on Azher after gathering his things and the two set out traveling slowly throught he night. Everything seemed to be normal. For all Jaden knew Azer's actions could have been contributed to something no more than a passing pack of wolves or something of the sorts.

Slowly but shurly the light krept over the horizen, sending small rays to light up the sky beyond.

It was a farely pleasent travel, until around noon, when the wind picked up and the clouds gathered. There was indeed another howl, other than the wind, and it sent a chill down Eleshna's spine.

"A wolf pack..." she murmured. "I'd say pretty large, and sounding rather hungered," she added with a shudder.

"Maybe we should find a safer place to stay until it gets light enough to see good." Jaden sugested looking around.

If they wanted to the wolves could easily sneak up and suround them froma distance.

Eleshna nodded firmly. "Too bad Rohan doesn't have many trees. So much grass..." she murmured, managing to chuckle slightly.

The cloud cover deepened and the howl of the wolves continued, dropped off, then resumed, though now closer. Syndar had begun to be fidgety, not at all enjoying the howling serenade, though also sensing Eleshna's uneasiness.

It wasn't the wolves that made her edgy, but it was the fact that there seemed so many, and it was day time, which, even in a storm, was rare for wolves to prowl.

Jaden looked over at her... she seemed more worried than he thought she would have been. "Something else bothering you?" he asked her.

"Don't you find it a little strange for them to be out hunting during the day?" Eleshna questioned quietly, then adding. "I know it might be dark, due to cloud cover, but wolves know it's not day... I just find it strange. And I haven't known so many wolves to congregate in this area."

"I've seen them come out during the day when there hungry. But I do admit out here, so far in the open it is a bit strange." Jaden agreed.

There was obviously a larg group of them judging by the noises they made.

"I can handle some with my powers... but I don't know how many." Jaden said softly.

Eleshna nodded, listening carefully to the sounds of the approaching wolves, their howls suddenly quieting once again to an eery silence.

A growl immited from the vacinity of a large rock not far in front of them startled Syndar, causing the horse to sidestep. Eleshna pulled her rarely used bow from her back and strung it, nocking an arrow upon the string swiftly.

Jaden jumped off Azher. "Come on, you need to be on Azher." Jaden told Eleshna, nearly pulling her off Syndar himself.

"If anything happens take her up." Jaden said to Azher. Jaden then jumped on Syndar.

Eleshna seemed about to protest, but thought better of it and kept quiet, seating herself atop the dragon, an arrow still nocked on her bow.

She half drew the bow as she glanced around. Suddenly several silver-grey wolves leapt towards them, encircling them. What was strange, however, was that nearly everyother one had a weird shimmer to them, almost ghostly...

Jaden closed his hands and consentrated his energy, focusing his powers to fend off the wolves. (are they real wolves or not?)

His palms began glowing white, the light making the are around them more visible.

(They're half of them real and half of them not... sort of like in the LotR book, but they're actually the Shadows in a different form)

Without a master to guide them, both shadow groups had joined, no longer a fued between them, but a gathered effort to seek out those who did any of them harm, which so happened to be Jaden and Eleshna at that moment.

Eleshna glanced side to side, making a breif count of the threat, then began to release well aimed arrows to the real wolves, felling several of them in a short amount of time.

Jaden let out as much power as he could, many of the real wolves seemingly caught on fire witht he white light. The howls and screams of pain were herd throught he land as he continued with all his strength.

Eleshna watched, her expression unreadable as the real wolves disintegrated from Jaden's power. The ghost wolves, however, seemed to shudder as a flame burst within them from the light and several of them shattered, shards of them glittering in midair for a moment, then falling to dwell as a mist upon the ground.

However, a few of the other Shadow wolves merely shivered, shook the flame from their shimmering fur, then snarled, leaping at Jaden.

Jaden had egsosted most of his power by now, th rest they would have to deal with in more contemporary ways. Jaden started to jerk Syndar to the side but he horse was way ahead of him, having started the motion nearly as soon as the wolf jumped.

Jaden pulled out his sword and looked around to see how many wolves were left.
