It was hot in the great hall and Lily whispered into James' ear.
"I'm going to go outside for a walk, comming with?"

Noticing Fiona shivering, Remus wrapped his arm around her.

"I've been afraid to talk to you for a while," he said with a chuckle. "That day you didn't meet me out in the courtyard, I nearly died from shame." He smiled to show he was joking and put his hand to Fiona's mouth. "And when I asked you to the ball I was so nervous I almost got sick."

James shivered as she leaned in and whispered that last sentence in his ear. He gave her half quizzical look. Few days ago she didn't even want to look at him and now she was standing right there, in his arms and whipering in his ear. He simply still couldn't believe. All he could do to respond her was a nodd. He let her take his hand and lead him outside.
One the main doors of the Great hall, a large crowd formed. James turned his direction towards there. He didn't notify Lilly. But she could've guess by now. After all he was James Potter and James Potter was always in the centre of all happenings. After few 'Move away' and 'Can I pass please' he finally reached the centre. To his horror, he saw that Peter was laying there in a puddle of blood. The vounds looked horrible and he wasn't an expert in medical magic.
"SIRIUS!! REMUS!!" he yelled as loud as it was possible "And you!" he pointed to few younger students who were standing there "Go get Madame Pomfrey!" he took out his wand and turned to Lilly. His eyes were pleading "Help me."

Dani heard James yelling, then followed Sirius to the doors. Peter. Though she couldn't be too sorry that the little worm was hurt, she <i>did</i> acknowledge that it was serious. "Here-" she said, pushing aside a particularly bratty-looking third year girl, "You have to put pressure on the wounds to stop the bleeding...anyone have any handkerchiefs or napkins?"

LIly nearly screamed.
"Oh, gosh. Oh..." she swore.
"I'll go and get Madam Pomfrey..."she said.
After a ere 2 mins she returned with Madam Pomfrey.
Lily clumsily mopeed ip ome of the blood while she sobbed.

"Are you Remus Lupin?" A second year student raced across the gardens and tugged on the sleeve of his dress robes.

Remus stood and stared bemused at the second year. "I am. What is it?"

"Come inside," the other gasped, wide eyed. "Your friends told me to come get you."

Fiona leaned in as Remus spoke, she smiled as most of this sounded familier.
"You know i felt the same way, i mean when you asked to meet me, i was scared and i freaked out, that's why i didn't meet you, but i woke up this morning, i felt confused and all i could think about was you, that's why i came to find you, i'd knew you'd be in the library, so i skipped lessons so i could talked to you" she laughed her mind swimming, she looked up at him, his dark eyes shining in the moonlight, she moved closer to him, thie lips nearly touching.
Suddenly screams erupted throughout the school, Fiona pulled away from Remus, looking round, she stopped a frightened looking 2nd year running away from the entrance hall.
"What happened?" she asked the child.
"A boy has been hurt, and James Potter is tending to him" she squeeked back, Fiona looked round at remus.
"Come on we'd better go help him!" she said grabbing his hand and pulling him back into the school.
When they arrived, there was a thick crowd knotted together, they slowly pushed their way through only to come across a scene of Peter laying in a puddle of his own blood, immediatly fiona knelt down beside his, checked his pulse and pupils.
"Pulse is feint and pupils are dilute" she muttered to herself, as she pulled her hair back and ripped open Peter's shirt to study the wounds.

Sirius followed Danni through the crowds, pushing their way through only to come across Peter laying in a pool of his blood, surrounded by James and Lily.
He stood staring at him, he was in shock, his gripped is wand, the rat had always had a habit of getting himself into trouble, but this took the biscuit.
He looked down at James and then up at Remus as him and Fiona pushed their way through the crowds, Lily had disappeared and Fiona and Dani were kneeling down tending to him, their dresses soaking in Peter's blood.

Lily was still sobbing. She was scared at the sight of the blood. And without realising it she had thrown her arms around James and was sobbing onto his shoulder.

"What did you do to yourself, Wormtail?" Remus muttered in no small state of concern. He exchanged glances with James and Sirius.

He awkwardly patted Lily's back, then knelt beside Fiona to study the wounds.

Fiona looked up at him as Remus knelt down next to her.
"Moony he's bad, real bad, i don't think Madame Pomfrey will be able to heal him, he needs St.Mungo's" she said, she turned her head to look at his face, he had broken out in a sweat, it wasn't good, and he needed medical attention right away.

Dani was secretly furious about her only dress getting ruined by tending to the worm, but soon stood up and backed away, letting Madam Pomfrey take over. She checked her watch. 11:30. She sighed, then turned to Sirius and said, "Hey...it's getting late. I'm gonna go upstairs."

Fiona was caught up in helping Wormtail, she didn't notice as the others slowly drifted away to bed, she had pulled out her wand, feeling quite thankful that she had be sent to the magical injuries camp.
She looked at Madame Pomfrey, and she nodded, they both understood the extent of his wounds, and that he needed more than their help.
Fiona stood up immediatly and started to run for the Owlery, she turned round to see if Remus was there, he was right behind her.
"Do you have any parchment and a quill?" she asked.

James wrapped his arms tightly around Lilly. Now it seemed that it was over so quickly. A vision of Peter lying helplessly was still in front of his eyes. That was one of his worst nightmares, to see his family and friends this hurt. This kind of hit him hard and made him finally remember that this time wasn't so peaceful. By now he was ignoring that thought as often as he could.
He was convinced that Snape is working for Voldemort, though. And that person, who called himself Lord Voldemort, wasn't so harmless after all. It was time for all of them to start preparing.
His forehead was all sweaty and he had blood all over his shirt but he didn't even have time to think about that. He just flopped down on the ground still holding Lilly in tight embrace. He couldn't even imagine something bad happen to her. He really didn't think he would manage to get out of it.
He planted a kiss on top of her hair and started rocking her whispering,
"Don't cry. It's all alright. Everything will be alright. I'm here... Don't cry..."

Remus spread his hands out before him and shook his head helplessly. "Madam Pomfrey has one."

Madam Pomfrey willingly handed her quill and ink over. Remus ran back down the corridor and caught up with Fiona. "Here," he said, holding them out. As she reached for them, their fingers met. Remus was seized by an impulsive desire to comfort her. "He'll be all right," he said, pulling her close for a brief moment and stroking her hair.

Fiona acepted the parchement and quill, their fingers met and she wanted to cry, the burning feeling growing, he pulled her to him and she nestled her face in his shoulders, the tears flowing freely.
"No-one deserves to be put into the state, even a worm like Wormtail" she sobbed.

After awhile of standing their, amongst the sleeping owls, Fiona pulled away and wiped the tears from her face, she then leaned against the side of the wall and scribbled a note.

Serious Emergency, assistance needed immediatly at Hogwarts school - Studen bleeding to death

Quickly she signed her name at the bottom and called down her owl, she quickly tied it to the owls leg.
"Fly as fast as you can, St.Mungo's to anyone who will take it, peck them if need be" She said, she stroked the owl before it took off and flew into the night sky, she turned round to face Remus, she smiled but was overcome by emotion, the tears started to flow down her face again, she looked down at her once beautiful white gown, it was ruined, soaked through by Peter's blood, not even magic would be able to restore it.

Remus's heart ached to see her cry - he had known her for a long while, and he had rarely seen Fiona express such emotion. He stared out the window, watching the figure of the owl vanish into the night.

"At least Snape would never dare do that again," he said with a smile that seemed forced even to himself. He sighed a squeezed her shoulder. A cool breeze wafted through the window, stirring her hair so that it brushed against his fingers. He leaned close.

He meant only to meet her eyes in reassurance, or perhaps to wipe the tears from her face. But he was pressed by an instinctive urging, and before he knew it his lips were on hers in a tender kiss.
