Rachel closed her eyes for a few moments, to collect her thoughts. She then looked back up and sighed. "It was James." She bit her lip. "The one that tried to get me to go with him outside earlier." She wrapped her arms around herself and looked to the floor, somewhat scared.

Edward's eyes didn't seem to move. He flinched his scissorhands for a moment or two in the awkward silence. "Is he always mad?"

Rachel took a deep breath and looked into Edward's eyes. "Not really. He's just mad that I like you more than him." She felt completely stupid for telling Edward that, but she also felt relieved.

Rachel watched as Edward ignored her. She sighed and shook her head. "I'll be outside." She said, upset. She walked out the front door and sat down on the bench.

Edward's attention had soon fluttered away from Evin. He had turned his stool to the right and was toying with the telephone cords with his scissors. His eyes stared at the cords unblinking.
