Theodore Roosevelt once said: Do what you can, with what you have, where you are.
That is sooo true!
Or Mark Twain: I was gratified to be able to answer promptly. I said I don't know.

Ooh, a fave of mine...
God: Really something, isn't it?
Bruce: Is this heaven?
God: No, this is Mount Everest. You should flip on the Discovery Channel from time to time. But I guess you can't now, being dead and all.
Bruce: I'm dead?
God: Naw, I'm just messing with ya.
Bruce: That's not funny, Man! That is not funny.

Yes, Welcome WilliamMoseleyLuver! If you want, help yourself to one of the banners
yaay, we're slowing beginning all over again.
I love this piece of advice from Gandalf:
Quote: Towards danger; but not too rashly, nor too straight. \ Or Prince Rainbow to El-ahrairah in "Watership Down": Quote: You would be stealing the clouds out of the sky before the moon had changed twice. Or this: Quote: "What on earth's 'camel'?" asked Bigwig. "I don't know," replied Dandelion. "But it was in the story when I heard it, so I suppose it's some creature or other."

Can I join? I just love quotes...
Lots of them are from my fave authors, CS Lewis and JRR Tolkien.
Or, from Winston Churchill. 8)
Quote: A little girl who was staying in Churchill's house once came across Churchill while he rested in his bed. She looked at him curiously and asked,
"Are you the greatest man who ever lived?"
Churchill glared at her and replied.
"Of course. Now pop off, will you?"

I love this part from The Pirates of Penzance, in which the Pirate King gets Frederick to re-join the band by claiming that, since he was born in leapyear, he's not 21, he's just a little older than 5!
Quote: You are the victim of this clumsy arrangement, having been born in leap-year, on the twenty-ninth of February; And so, by a simple arithmetical process, you’ll easily discover, That though you’ve lived twenty-one years, yet, if we go by birthdays, you’re only five and a little bit over! To which Frederick says: Quote: Though counting in the usual way, Years twenty-one I’ve been alive. Yet, reckoning by my natal day, Yet, reckoning by my natal day, I am a little boy of five!
