The first one was 2000. The second one was 2002 I believe. The third one came out in 2005. I have seen the first two,but I really want to see the third one. I am reading the first book and I watch the first movie as I get there in the book. I really recommend that you see the first one. Then it is a little easier to understant the second one.

I've seen all 3 of the movies, and I've read most of the kid's books, but none of the adult's books yet.

Are these the Christian books about the end of the world? I havn't read them but on another forum I look at people mention them quite a lot. The idea sounds interesting if kind of strange.

They are awsome! It is really good so far. I am for those of you that have seen the movie, at the part where Rayford watches the tape that Pastor Billings left for those who were left behind. It's facinating you should read them sometime. If you like to read of course. :-D

They are good! I've only read the kids books though...and that was a while ago but I remember staying up late to finish them!

I've only seen the first movie, and I've read the first few Kids books, and most of the adult ones, and frankly, I'm not too great a fan of them. The rest of my family likes them, but I think that LaHaye and Jenkins make a lot of assumptions on what the end times are going to be like (especially the latter part) and I disagree with their interpretations in more than one part of the series.

I mean, it's a well-written series, I just don't agree with everything they put down.

Well, I haven't read all of the books yet. I think I am on chapter 15 one the first book in the adult series. Yeah, I would probabably agree with you there predicting what would happen in the end is sort of a blind guess. Well, you do have the Bible to refere to if you are not completely sure about the author's assuptions. If you know what I mean. But I like the books. I wouldn't read the kids series because it wouldn't make sense to me. Didn't most of the kids get taken up in the rapture? I do have somewhat a point. I like them though. I am excited to read more of them. :)

Aerandir, I disagree with some of their assumptions too so instead of viewing it as fact, I simple enjoy them for good Christian reading material. Nobody but God himself knows what the end of times will be like so know writer will be able to put it down on paper.
The movies were kinda cool but really don't follow the plot of the books.
And the kids series is about older kids...only little ones got taken up in the rapture.

I have read a lot of them... but I don't remember which ones. They just got so long and there were so many that I couldn't keep up with who was dead, who was still alive, who was saved, etc etc.

So more of the teens that were unsaved got left behind. Ok. I think there are twelve books. Maybe more. But when I saw it there were twelve and some additional novels. I asked this kid at school what he thought the rapture was, and he thought I was speaking another language! I don't know anyone that dosen't know about the rapture. We went shopping Saturday and we got a lisence plate frame that said "Warning: In case of rapture this car will be unmanned." I thought it was sort of cool. :)

I think it's something that only certain groups of Christians believe in. I've been going to church almost my whole life and I'd never heard of it until a couple of months ago and that was from the internet.

Glad you finally heard of it. I hear it is supposed to be the biggest event in history. I looked into the rapture a little more, and it said the antichrist will come out of Europe I believe. I feel bad for people who still haven't heard of the rapture, or even know about Christ. Does anyone have a favorite scene in Left Behind? :-D
