Sahrai grinned. "Maybe that'll teach you not to surprise people by suddenly appearing out of thin air in front of them," he said in a lightly chiding tone.
They reached the hangar finally, and Sahrai lowered the Serendipity's ramp, walking up. "Everything looks and feels in order," he said, going to his supply room on board.

Viree13 shrugs and follows him up the ramp. "That's not the point though.... Even though I dislike her, I would stick by her in anything...." She leans against the wall, watching him check his stuff.....

"In anything?" Sahrai asked in surprise. "I don't know if I would stick by you in anything, let alone her. If it's in accordance with my mission, and not doing something that I personally am against, maybe, but certainly not just anything," he finished. He rummaged through a footlocker full of odds and ends in his supply room, finally pulling out a comlink and switching it with the one he currently had, and tossing another to Viree. "It has a homing signal, too," he explained.

"Right," Sahrai replied, closing the footlocker. "I sure hope you agree with this mission," he added, feeling at the collar of his shirt to make sure his military insignia was on, too. Satisfied, he went to the ramp and gestured with his hands. "After you," he said.

(Sry I didn't get a chance to say I'd be away - I was gutting houses in the ninth ward in NOLA. Crowbars are a girl's best friend!)
The specified four hours passed quickly as na'Tatha performed last minute data dumps and assigned a junior officer to send the Jedi the navigation instructions they would need to reach the negotiation venue. All too soon, she found herself striding down the corridor to the defense associate's office.

Drawing a breath, she knocked. Y'Garam was her most superior officer; her assignment unprecedented.
The door slid open - Y'Garam was standing on the other side. As if he had read her thoughts, the man nodded. "Ah, Subcommander. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Are you prepared?"
"As far as one can be, sir."
"Good answer. Come in and sit down."
The door closed behind them.

A chill raced down her spine.

As Sahrai and Viree were walking back to their suites, Sahrai noticed na'Tatha walking out of a room in an adjoining hall. "Did your meeting go well?" he asked, changing direction.

"I hope to depart within an hour," Sahrai said, wondering if his team would be ready by then. In his experience, most females, unless they were experienced combat veterans, took their time getting ready to do anything. "I have the latest departure time as an hour and a half, just in case we don't make it out at the preferred time."
