"Remus!" Fiona screamed, she lucnged forward trying to reach his wand before he did, but he was too quick, he clutched his wand, pointing it at his heart, he looked at her, into her eyes, she looked back, though her hand was slowly moving to her pocket.
"Fiona, I love you." he uttered, she forze for a second, thoughts flooded through her brain, she closed her eyes and bent over slightly, it was gicing her a slight headache - NO, you have to stop him came a strong voice, she opened her eyes and stood up slightly, she had just managed to clasp her wand into her hand, she was ready, ready to pull it out and say the first spell that came to her; just not yet, the time wasn't right.
She looked into his eyes, she could see his pain, but she wanted to tell him that she was angry at him or that she hated him, instead she took a small step towards him.
"Remus, if you truly loved me, you wouldn't be doing this" she whispered softly, maintaing her eye contact with him the whole time.

Sirius stood for a moment longer, holding Dani in his arms, he took in the scent of her hair before pulling away, he sat down, sighing heavily, he ran his fingers through his hair, he felt Dani sit down next to him.
"Hey," she said softly. "What's up?" she asked, he had a feeling he knew somthing was wrong, but he wasn't sure he could tell her, it was Remus' secret but then again, Lily and Fiona knew about now.
He turned to face her, looking into her eyes, he could feel the stinging pain from a cut he had received when he was in his Animagi form.
"It's Remus" he said simply, holding his hand up and wiping the trickle of blood that had rolled down his face.

"What happened?" she asked, putting her hand on the side of his cheek, her eyes filled with concern. "Look...what's been going on? Something serious has happened and I have no idea what's going on."

Sirius closed his eyes at her touch on his cheek, he was lost for a moment; he opened his eyes and looked into hers.
"You may have heared about the werewolf attack on 2 students and a black dog" he replied calmly.

"What?" she asked. "Well, I saw a werewolf...and Lily, and Fiona, but....nothing else...aside from a-" she paused as a thought hit her. "Black..dog..." she said slowly. She looked back up into his dark eyes. "Sirius, tell me. What's going on?"

Sirius had an inkling that Dani had worked it out, he wasn't going to tell her about the black dog, that was his buisness that he would tell her when he was good and ready, and well this wasn't the time, instead he tried a different tatic.
"Well the werewolf was Remus, and the 2 girls - Fiona and Lily" he replied looking away from her.
"The black dog was killed unfortunatly, as it was stupid and tried to stop the wolf from attacking Fi and Lily" he continued as he lied through his teeth.

Dani looked at him with a raised eyebrow as he tried to lie to her. "Really," she said flatly, a hint of doubt in her voice. She wanted to say, 'You're the black dog. Don't lie to me,' but restrained herself. She merely sighed. She would say nothing and let him tell her when he wanted. Then she thought of it. "Er...how did you get that cut?" she asked, pointing to his forehead and speaking in a tone that left the other subject behind.

Sirius knew that she was onto him, he might as well tell her the truth - or well in this case part of it.
"I was tired and feeling quite pissed off with what Peter had gone and done, and well i needed to calm down, so i went down the forbidden forest, it's the only place that calms me down - don't ask" he replied seeing the look on her face, he smiled gently and placed his hand on her cheek.
"Your beautiful you know" he said gently, he then stood up and kissed the top of her head, and left the common room through the portrait hole.

Dani listened to what he said about the Forest. It made sense...he suddenly put his hand on her cheek, which made her heart leap up to her throat. She put her hand on top of his, and closed her eyes for a moment when he kissed the top of her head. As he got up to leave, she opened her mouth to say something, but hesitated, and by the time she knew it, he'd left.

Remus stared at her, the hand on his wand shaking. His heart trembled, as if dangling off the edge of a precipice. The look in her eyes sliced through his heart, filled him with icy cold one moment and searing warmth the next. He couldn't stand it any more. Flinging his wand across the room, he turned his back on her and staggered to his bed. He lowered himself onto the mattress, still not looking at her, his hands clenching and unclenching at his sides. Unbidden tears stung his eyes.

"Fiona, I've wronged you!" he howled through his numb jaw. "Can't you see that? I'm a werewolf, Fiona. A werewolf!"

Tears come to her as Remus threw himself onto his bed, they silently rolled down her face, but she quickly wiped them away, she walked over to him, sitting on the edge, she leaned over him and pushed some hair from his face.
"You havn't wronged me, do you think i care that your a werewolf? Do you think i'm like those other girls, that judge on one mistake, Remus listen to me i wouldn't care if you were Voldemort, i'd still love you" she whispered, stroking his hair, and wiping away his tears, though she could stil feel hers roll gently down her cheeks.
She smiled for the first time after the ordeal, she half laughed and half sobbed as she rested her head on his chest.
"If anyone was to wrong anyone, it would have been me, for wronging Lily, i've been such a pig to her it's unbeliveable"

Such a jumble of emotions washed over him at that moment, he didn't know whether to laugh or cry. Reluctantly he pushed Fiona away from him and held her at arm's length.

"I could have killed you tonight. Or worse, bitten you," he told her quietly, his voice tremulous for the depth of his turmoil. "What are we going to do if anything results from this? How can you live with the knowledge that every moon I transform into a bloodthirsty, murdering beast?"

Fiona pushed back her hair, she sighed in frustration, he wasn't getting it, he wasn't understanding her, she started to breathe heavily, she didn't want to cry again, she had done too much of it and frankly she was fed up of it, instead her tears were replaced with anger.
"Remus, you don't get it do you!?" she yelled, she stood up and walked to the end of his bed so he couldn't reach her.
"You don't understand that i don't care, if your a werewolf or not" she continued, she had started to pace, occasionally running her fingers through her hair.
"Who cares if you turn into a blood thirsty beast everytime a full moon rolls round? Wait till you see me at that time of the month!" she shook her head and laughed.
"Talk to me when your thinking straight" she said harshly.
"I'm going to bed and i'll see you in the morning" without a backwards glance she stormed out of the room, almost knocking Sirius down as she went.

Sirius sighed as he made his way slowly down to the hospital wing, he was about to open the door when it crashed open and Fiona stormed out.
"Fi what's up?" he asked.
"I wouldn't try talking to him, he's not in the negotiating mood, he's being so pigheaded!" she yelled so that Remus would hear her from his bed, she smiled at Sirius before walking off down the corridor and back towards the common room.
Sirius let out a whistle, and walked into the room.
"Damn Moony, you must have done somthing really bad to make her that mad!" he said grinning as he sat down in the chair beside Remus' bed.

Remus smacked himself several times before letting his head sink into his hands. "She doesn't understand," he protested, looking up at Sirius wretchedly. "I don't deserve her, I don't deserve... ah damn it, Padfoot!" He glared at his friend's grin. "I'm not smiling! I - " He worked his mouth, trying to find something to say or perhaps something to throw.
