Meanwhile on the deck of the Black Pearl. Sanji and Zoro had injured as many of the crew as they could, getting injuries themselves. They retreated into the water. "Sanji! Zoro!" Alexis shouted and dived in so she could get them.

"That idea of yours could work!" she replied knocking the top of his head the best she could, she then looked around wildly, hoping to find a place to hide Jack's things so that they were safe.

Jack kept swimming after Monica and occasionally broke the surface to take in a breath of air. A few moments after however, he could've sworn he felt something violently hit his leg....

Monica finally grabbed the surface of the dock, pulling herself up with her arms (which was a difficult task, seeing as she was drenched and wearing a dress.) She looked behind her for Jack, who seemed to have stalled. "Sparrow!" she called, "You alright?"

Jack frowned his face. "I couldn't be better." He shrugged it off, smirked and started swimming again.
Just a few feet deep in the water was a massive blob of darkness that was swimming underneath him. There was something definitely in the water.

Jack stopped swimming and started to tread the water. He squinted his eyes up at Monica and yelled back across to her, "What's what?"
The thing underneath Jack started to uncoil itself and seemed to grow tremendously larger.

Finally, like a tunnel of some sort, Jack's eyes revealed the 'thing' that was under him. He sneered and his eyes looked somewhat shocked. He immediately started swimming again but in a sudden instant the 'thing' wrapped a dark hold around Jack's ankle and gave a violent tug to it and Jack disappeared under the water, leaving only his hat afloat...

"Mon get out of the water now!" she cried as she sptted the dark form and Sparrow's floating hat.
