After the sorting, feast, etc., Professor McGonagall called them all to attention. "I'd like to make an announcement," she said. "The Ministry of Magic has once again agreed to re-enstate the Triwizard Tournament, which Hogwarts will once again host."

Gwen, who had gotten off the train late in order to finish another essay, sat at the edge of the table. As McGonagall made her annoucement, she slyly smiled. Another tournament. Perhaps they had lowered the age limit this year. But if that didn't happened at least she'd get to go to a ball.

For once, Chris was listening carefully. He already heard about this tournament. His father told him all about it of course. It sounded pretty much interesting. And yes, he noticed that half of the hall shared his thoughts. Especially those annoying brats at the Gryffindor table. He slightly shook his head and turned back to the Headmistress. She obviously didn't say all what she was supposed to.

Alex looked at his sister and chuckled. He saw the smile on Gwen's face and simply knew that she's up to something. That wasn't hard to quess either way. These news were interesting that was for sure. Triwizard tournament was the one thing in which he always wanted to participate and maybe this was his chance.

Mari-Anne was in a world of her own once again, but was soon pulled out when she heared the Great Hall start to buzz; she looked up and around she then turned to a first year who was sat next to her.
"Hey what's going on?" she asked, the kid looked up at her and grinned.
"Mcgonagal just announced the Triwizard tournament is being hosted again here at Hogwarts" he squeeked.
Mari-Anne's heart leaped into her throat, she had begun too feel mischevious, feeling like her fathers daughter suddenly, she wanted to be in that tournament, she had to be in that tournament.....

Mari glanced over at her sister, who would probably join. Mari herself may have, but the stories her father had told her about <i>his</i> experience in the Tournament were enough to curl even Malfoy hair.

McGonagall held up her two hands to silence everyone, as that irritating buzz of student chatter had started up. She continued speaking. "Now, as you all may guess, the schools of Beauxbatons and Durmstrang will be arriving here tomorrow night. At which time we will hold a seperate feast and explain the instructions about the Goblet of Fire and entrance into the Tournament. But more about that later. For now, I invite you to enjoy the rest of your Feast and settle in for your first day back."
