Haldir suddenly darted in and stole all the chocolate cake. "Vengeance is MINE!!" cackled Haldir.

Gwen paused, staring at Haldir. "Um, ok."
"Well, let's order some more!" She grinned. "And I think I'll have some hot chocolate. Yes, hot chocolate goes great with chocolate cake."

Luthien frowned at her distant relation. "Do you know how rude that is? Oh well, since you are the mother of the groom.." She accepted another piece of cake and a mug of hot chocolate from the waiter.

Gwen looked around the room. The band was quietly chatting and laughing in the corner. She tiptoed over to them, and made a small request. Then she walked back to the other girls and motioned for them to stand up. Suddenly, disco music burst forth from the stage.

Luthien couldn't help the smile that burst across her face. "Excellent idea mother!" She moved onto the floor, and seeing a small red button by the stage, pressed it with a flourish. At that moment, a huge disco ball descended from the ceiling, scattering spots of light everywhere. "Now the party can really start!"
