Aver grinned and nodded at the guards who grabbed Kael by his hands keeping him on his knee`s as Aver walked up to him putting his sword against Kael`s throat.

"And you thought you could come to Pataos to kill and enslave the bodies of poor fishermen like ourselves? And what might this goal of yours be?"

"You don't have to worry abour your brothers here. There have been loads and loads of death all over the place," Kael assured him. "Besides my goal is to avenge myself and my men. I was killed during the Successor's War. Well, not really killed, I sort of cheated death and became this. Now if you kindly let me free, I'm be on my way." Kael could not stop but help feeling that one day he would meet this man except on a battlefield. "I came to see if I could awaken the dead here. I heard there was a corpse of a great mage whose abilities might still be of use..."

Aver`s eyes widened as this man even dared to suggest bringing back his master or any of the dead.

"We respect the dead unlike you Kael, as our customs are we send them away to the sea as ashes for it is the sea that provides us food and cover, it can also kill us and that is the last place where our ashes descend.... unlike you we do not awaken them to be stenching corpses, your journey here was a waste, but I can get you off this island so you would not bother us anymore..."

"So would it seem," Kael said. Poor human, Kael thought. He didn't know what was his true purpose. Nor did he know what was going on in Nauskal or Bethakra. "Now kindly, let me go" Kael asked though his eyes was anything but kind.

Aver asked with a serious tone as he looked back at this daring undead stranger.

"I could, I could put you into pieces and scatter you around the island or I could imprison you... or just throw you into the bottom of the ocean all tough you are dead so it wouldn`t matter, but good luck walking out of there without any weapons and weight around your legs..."

"You really want to suggest such treatment?" Kael asked. "I realize that I am an Undead assassin while you are a great human mage of this country but I must warn you. I know for sure your country is attempting to rebuild itself. Wouldn't be such a shame if an Undead army came in and destroyed what was left in this place. I could easily order an attack as that."

"I doubt that, if you came here to seek an army and your body will be scattered without chances of coming back together how can you assemble an undead army? But a great mage? Dear heavens no, good enough, but not great my friend not great... besides your undead beings would meet more than humans.."

"Oh, are you talking about the orcs?" Kael asked. "Don't worry. We intend to not to encounter such creatures. Let the mortals fight each other and let the dead destroy them both. Now please I insist, let me go....and you have my word that I won't bother this little country again. Oh, by the way, by scattering my body parts, you would have given me more peace than any I can find on this earth." The human seems to not realize that this country was to be first to be attacked. Kael merely went to scout the land.

the king warily set his men up in the customary infantry/skirmisher/archer line with the cavalry on the wings and watched as the enemy army, apparently from two kingdoms, approached.

"Simply let you go? You assume that I am stupid, you lie and lie Kael. Orcs? Dear heavens no! Something far more worse, but well... I think I choose to give you peace and besides even if you did get an army you couldn`t destroy us..."

Aver swore and then stabbed Kael in the shoulder to see his reaction.

(btw lets just agree that the undead ain`t superior or anything cause that would just take the thrill out of this stuff)

Kael felt pain shoot up through him, but he managed to hide it. He winced at bit. "Ok, ok," Kael said. "You've proven your point, whatever that is. Now really, I think I shall be reconsidering my goals." Though this country was supposed to be the first to be attacked, Kael thought maybe the dead should reconsider its targets. This mage, despite what he said, could destroy the dead in one word. Plus the mage did speak of something far greater than Orcs. Demons perhaps? Kael groaned at himself internally. His pride was the end of him before.

"Well... we are going to keep you imprisoned until we can get a boat to send you to the ocean..."

Aver said as the guards dragged Kael after him as the webbed man was carried also towards the tower, Aver quickly opened the gates and Kael was soon thrown into a prison cell below the tower. The guards left after putting the webbed man into another cell and Aver sat down by a table, he looked at the table which had few books about creatures further down the cells that his master had experimented on. Aver leaned back in his chair pondering.

"Now what to do with an undead assassin and a rarely aggressive mute beggar? All tough you aren`t a mute nor a beggar are you?"

Kael still was wincing after the mage stabbed him in the shoulder as he was led to prison.

(oh, btw I don't think Lady Dark Moon is going to be on very often so...)

the enemy advanced slowly, the skirmishers pelting the kings front line as the enemy held back a reserve.

"All right, simpleton. You can still be mute if it pleases you, but you best answer me if you value your life."

As matter of fact, Reyas Shademr did value his life - until he got his vengeance anyway. So he hunkered down and threw the interrogator a venomous glare.

"Go to the Abyss."

The interrogater chortled. "You're the one in chains here. What's your name?"

"Death," Reyas replied, a steel glint of the old obsession returning to his eyes.

"He's bloody mad," the guard called down from the stairs. "Leave him be."

After they left, the cell opposite his grated open and another prisoner was tossed into his shadows.

Aver couldn`t help laughing at the answer he heard from the spy, he walked in front of the cell and smirked slightly.

"So spy, why don`t you tell me if you learned anything particular and how I might be of any assistance to you..."

Aver informed mysteriously smiling.
