Elenanna and Bellethiel looked at their grand-neice, and Elenanna dismounted her mare. "Sulaid, Eruilisse." she said, holding her mare's reins.

Vardainel nodded slowly. She could tell that Eurilisse was hiding something, but she did not know what. "Are we ready to depart?" she asked suddenly, "You may have killed these orcs, but they seem to travel in large groups these days. More will come and it will be best if we are on our way."

Vardainel sighed in annoyance. She was eager to be off, but it was not her nature to leave someone wounded. Finally she said, "If it is okay with you two, Ellenanna and Bellethiel, we will wait with them."

"That sounds wonderfull. Thank you," said Vardainel smiling for the first time in a while as she took the lembas from Alexandra. She dismounted her horse and said, "I guess since we're waiting we can have a seat." She then began to eat.

"I can't remember the last time I had roast chicken stuffed with walnuts and covered with lemon and wine sauce I don't even remember the taste of wine I've lived off of lembas for too long"Alexandra said

Vardainel laughed. "I know that feeling all to well," she said around a mouth full of lembas bread. Her cheeks colored suddenly. A princess should not talk with her mouth full. She dismissed the thought. She had been traveling so long, her manners were left back in her father's hall. "What brings you to Mirkwood, Alexandra?"
