The dark elf's green-eyed gaze surveyed the audience hall in one cursory glance. Apparently, it was bored by everything it fell upon, including the man lounging quite comfortably on the throne.
"My lord Manethredon," Denaris Erydera said with bow, albeit a mocking one, and a flourish. "Delighted as I am to bask in your august presence, I would really prefer you to get on with it."
Manethredon's deadpan revealed nothing. "I have a job for you."
Who did he think the dark elf was, his servant? A distinguishable frown line marred Denaris's smooth complexion. "Now is really not the time to ask for my autograph, Lord Manethredon. Forgive my tactlessness."
"You shall be paid in your much-desired amulet, of course."
At this, Denaris managed to shut himself up long enough to listen.
The Dark Lord, sensing the wizard's approval, smiled. "Excellent. Your task concerns the traitor Ziara...."
One month.
One month of stalking the Lareleth Forest, sleeping on moss, scrying for Ziara, and damaging his elegant coiffure. Only the promise of the magical amulet he had sought for decades drove him on. His chaste white robes - the robes of a light mage - shone silver in the sunset.
"Find the traitorous minx. Win her trust. Find her secrets, and relay them back to me."
At last he had found her! The renegade princess and her motley band had hid themselves well. But Denaris's magic had served him better. They stood in the clearing before him, discussing in low tones. A vampire, a sprite-ish humanoid, and an elf.

The Jingoistic States of Jashacton
"We love hippos."
UN Category: Father Knows Best State
Civil Rights:
Some Economy:
Good Political Freedoms:
Few
Location: the West Pacific
The Jingoistic States of Jashacton is a huge, pleasant nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 769 million are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up.
The large government is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Public Transport receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 26%, but much higher for the wealthy. A tiny private sector is dominated by the Information Technology industry.
The police force is on a recruitment drive, protesters are up in arms over new nuclear power stations, much of Jashacton's computer network is controlled by a rampant artificial intelligence, and crowds of flag-burning protesters tend to accidentally become crowds of burning protesters. Crime -- especially youth-related -- is moderate. Jashacton's national animal is the sea cow, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the foodle.
That's my country from nationstates.com. I was gonna show it to someone

"I might often be disgusted by some people's views and opinions, but I will defend their right to have them with my life!"
^ lol that was me stating my views on freedom of speech (and if the Nazis should be able to express their opinions as well!)

"I love little Anna, but we've got so much respect for each other and we really quickly fell into the roles of brother and sister as soon as we started filming," says Moseley. "I'm naturally protective of her." He pauses. "I don't think I'm going to reveal if I have a girlfriend." About W.M
