Tamara was outside and noticed that there was no way that she would get in as human form. She could sense the others inside.

She turned herself into a bat and flyed around the mansion trying to find somewhere to get in.

Eve turned to Malcom and asked, "Could you show me around the manor?". Malcom smirked and started to stride across the corrdier, Eve following him.

Lilith stood at the end of the corridor and pushed forward. The corridor began to give way and there lay an entrance way to a small room.
"In here" she said coldly

Shannon against her better judgement, followed her in. Looking around the room she curled her lip. It was dark and dingy. A four poster double bed was in the center of the furthest away wall. The coverings purples, lilacs and violets.
"Very um..cosy" she said insincerely

"It was my home away from home. To escape the madness of this place"
Lilith replied cooly, eyeing Shannon.

"So...now are you going to explain just what in God's name is going on around this place"

"Are you always this blunt? Or do you take lessons?" Lilith scathed
Without waiting on a reply, Lilith continued.

"You and a few other humans have been trapped here, by...associates of mine. They want you dead."

Shannon looked unmoved, and unconvinced.

Lilith went onto explain the whole situation.

"So...let's say you're telling the truth. That you're not some lunatic. How can you prove any of this to me" Shannon asked

"I really didn't want to do this" Lilith said, with pain in her voice.
Suddenly she transformed into a bat before Shannon's eyes and back again.

Shannon fell onto the bed, dumbfounded.

Lilith fell to her knees, the transformation always caused her pain.
"Now do you believe me" she said her voice shaking

After a slight tour of the manor, Eve glared at a rather large window, the sheer full moon blazing in the darkened sky.
"How do you turn into a bat?", Eve asked Malcom inquisistivly.
"It's rather easy - all you have to do is depend on instinct."

Tamara found a way in,it was almost to small to get in but she made it.
She transformed into human form again,she landed perfect on her feets and slowly started to walk.

She spotted two of the vampires, a women and a man. She sensed that the women was a new one.

Shannon broke the silence
"So...why aren't you killing me or turning me into one of them?" her voice trying to mask her nervousness.

"I have no desire to kill, or to turn you" came the soft reply

"I don't get it. Not like I want you to kill me. I'm just curious" Shannon stated, standing up from the bed.

Lilith looked up at her. Sighing heavily as she raised herself to her feet, she began to explain.
"I do not kill women. Only men."

"Why only men?" came Shannons confused reply

"It's a long story. We do not have the time"

"Then make it brief" Shannon was unwavering

"I was sired, by a man. He told me it was going to be painles, beautiful. I would live to the fullest for eternity. But he was brutal, cold, he hurt me in ways I could not have imagined. From that instant I felt betrayed. I've never been the same since that night" Lilith turned away from Shannons pitying expression.

"One of these...aquaintances?" Shannon asked gently, she felt an odd swell of pity and sadness for this curious Vampire female.

"No.....I was brought here by another." she trailed off

Tamara walked without making a sound, she was really close to them and said "Hello." with a soft voice.

"So why are you here, with me and not out there with them?" Shannon asked, sitting back on the bed.

"You ask a lot of questions" Lilith snarled

"I think I deserve to know the answers, after you grabbing me from out of nowhere"

Lilith looked at Shannon, she wasn't going to take the easy replies.
"Very well...I'll tell you. But I must make this brief. There is much to do"

Shannon nodded, she had to know what made this woman tick. Something about her drew Shannon to her, she couldn't explain it.

"After I arrived, I was made to feel as welcome as fleas on a dog. I was an outsider. I think they all sensed I was different to them somehow. But there was one, one who understood me more than any other in my life. Her name was Faith, ironic name for a Vampiress. One of these...creatures drove her insane. She killed herself" Lilith sighed deeply

"I didn't think that was possible. I thought you were immortal." Shannon said, quietly

"We are. But she went outside and stayed there till Sunrise" Lilith spoke no more and went to the other side of the room.

Odette looked around, rather nervously. She stood by the front door, looking at it. She shook at the door knob. "Jammed," she muttered, letting go.
She turned and looked around. She pulled out her little camera, that fit in her purse. She took several pictures and wrote down notes, finding nothing wrong until she heard the screams.
Odette froze, looking around. She started walking up a pair of stairs, slowly. "Hello?" she called, holding her small notebook and little pen in one hand, her other on the railing, "Is everyone alright?"

Artemis had been sleeping late. She was a late sleeper and it was common to find her sleeping after dark. She was in a small room, near the top of the stairs.

"Hello? Is everyone alright?"

The vampiress' ears pricked up at the sound of a voice that didn't belong to one of the vampires she knew here. She stood up and peaked outside of the room to find a human, now walking down the hall.
Artemis licked her lips. "Fresh prey," she muttered, grinning ear-to-ear.
She slowly slipped out of the little room, following the human girl in the shadows.

Shannon sat on the bed, thinking of what to say. She looked over at the Vampiress. What a sad, lonely creature, she thought. She knew she shouldn't but she felt sorry for her. Her eyes were haunted by so much pain. There was more to this Faith, than Lilith was letting on. But she didn't want to anger her, risking her changing her ways about killing women.

Suddenly Lilith was standing in front of her.
"We have work to do"

"W-What? Work? I don't understand" she stammered, surprised by her sudden appearance.

"Don't play the innocent with me. I know what you are" Lilith said darkly

"I'm a student, from Canada. My name is Shannon. Not all that exciting" Shannon retorted.

Lilith pulled Shannon to her feet and looked straight into her eyes.
"Do NOT lie to me. I can see through them. I have been honest with you, now it's time to start being honest with me....Slayer"

Shannon looked at her. Her eyes widened.
"How...how did you know? I..." she trailed off, feeling guilt at being caught out, by a Vampire no less.

"We can smell Slayers. Feel fortunate it was I who got to you first. Otherwise, you'd be dead. Not turned, just dead."

"I don't understand. Why would you help me? Save me? There's more to you than meets the eye." Shannon said, starting to strangely feel at ease with someone who by rights, should be her nemesis.

"Indeed" was Lilith's only reply.
