Evelyn smiled at her, then looked out the window.

Evelyn sat down under the tree next to Lucy, reading her book. She had played a few rounds, and felt sorry for her. She looked up as Peter began babbling something while preparing to throw the ball, and began to laugh when it hit Edmund's hip. She caught Peter's eye and smiled.

Peter glanced at Evelyn and was trying his best not to laugh. "Wake up, Dolly Daydream!" Peter then said to Edmund as he turned and caught the ball that Susan threw back to him.

Edmund felt slightly irritated, but simply said, "Why can't we play hide and seek again?"


Evelyn kept her mouth covered with her hand to prevent laughter from escaping. She looked at Lucy, and back down to her book.

(Eee! Thankies!) Peter raised an eyebrow slightly. "I thought you said that was a kids' game." he asked, shaking his head slightly.

Lucy had let a small snicker escape her at Edmund's last comment, though she quickly hid it by coughing.

Edmund looked at Susan as she mentioned fresh air, and replied irritably, "It's not like there isn't air inside." He watched Peter for the next ball.

Once certain Edmund was ready, Peter pitched the ball hard.

Edmund hit the ball, and watched with horror as it crashed into a window.


Evelyn looked up wide-eyed as she heard a series of crashes coming from the mansion. "Oh, great..." she said, getting up and hurrying toward the doors.

Peter frowned deeply and headed back up to the mansion. "Oh, we're so dead.."

Several minutes later, Evelyn stared at the crashed knight's suit in shock. She looked at Susan, then at Felicity and Lucy, who had just run in.

"Not good.." Felicity murmured softly, wringing her hands.

Evelyn shook her head, then heard Mrs. Macready's voice. "What on earth is goin' on?!" she called.

"Oh, gosh -" she said, and she took off toward the door. She turned to the rest of them. "Come <i>on</i>!" she said.

The others followed, since none of them wanted to face dragon la-..Macready.

They all tried several doors, but if they weren't locked, they led them right to the footsteps. Finally, Evelyn followed Felicity and Lucy into a room - the Wardrobe room. Edmund ran to it and opened the door. "Come on!" he said.

"You have <i>got</i> to be joking," said Evelyn, doubting that all six of them would fit in. She turned as she heard the footsteps again, and finally resigned. She ran toward the wardrobe.

Peter stood back and watched as the others climbed into the wardrobe, and he sighed, hearing footsteps drawing closer from outside the door, and he climbed into the wardrobe after the other had fit inside. He peered out the door for a moment, before leaving it slightly ajar, as he called for the others to back up.
